I need a beginner project to get used to my very first serger. Figured I'd make a few body pillowcases with some fun cotton fabric I have. Is there anything I would need to do differently for a body pillow, other than adjusting the dimensions? This tutorial seems like the least intimidating one I've seen, so thank you in advance for that.

Does it come with his instructions how to make things or do you have to look it up yourself?

It would be so much easier to lay it out like the burrito pillowcase and serge

Thanks for sharing the Baby Lock Solaris. Many new Embroidery sewing machines appearing the end of this year. I been trying to compared the new models, Brother Luminare XP1, Baby Lock Solaris, and Pfaff Creative Icon. During the comparison I'm disappointed with Brother and Baby Lock Videos, they don't ever mention the sewing and embrodiry quality of stitches! Brother Luminnare XP1 or Baby Lock Solaris videos do not mention about their tread mechanism and is it redesigned? Have these new models been updated for all types of threads? What is the stitch quality back of the fabric? Only Pfaff Creative Icon videos share the thread mechanism and quality of stitches. It seems those who review the Brother or Baby lock mostly focus on or just redundant about the projecting images and LCD panel functions - like yourself. Can we see how well the Brother / Baby Lock stitches and any update to the mechanism?

Thanks for the quick lesson on using my serger to make a quick pillowcase! I wrap my gifts in a pillow case with either fabric from my "private reserve" or fabric that reflects that persons interest. Next year, I plan on using Christmas fabrics (that I purchased at Meissner's) tied with big fabric bows with everyone's presents tucked inside. Can't wait to see the look on everyone's faces when they look under the tree. Plus, less wrapping paper ending up in the trash.

Great video! How do you keep the back and front fabrics from pulling apart after the quilt is made? Do you do any free motion quilting to keep both the front and back together? Do you sew an "x" on the entire quilt to keep both front and back together?
