It would be idiotic to have a beaver on the flag as they came close to being extinct. MAPLE trees provided nutrition for the new settlers and no WASP would ever tap trees & go through the process of boiling sap for days on end. 🤣

Almost 5 years after watching this and wish I have a Twin Point Blanket, I am still keeping them in a good condition in my bed, every day and night! I love my Point Blanket. 😍🥰

For those looking for a more complete, accurate and detailed account of the Canadian Fur trade: www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/fur-trade

The history of the Canadian fur trade featured in this video is very incomplete and misleading. It totaly obliviates the French participation in the fur trade to solely focus on the British one. If you want a more complete and truthful account of what actually happened, I suggest you watch this video instead. 👇 m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXjEhJuMar6qaqs

It's pretty incredible some beaver hats are responsible for the development of Canada (and Manhattan too as the Dutch were sourcing their pelts from New York).

Feels like there's a lot of stuff being glossed over in this 3 and a half minute HIS-story of a trade that existed before they came here, and probably only really died off because of them.
