I came home a week ago from just 3 months in Canada and I never expected it to be THIS hard to leave. I wanted to extend but it just wasn't possible and now I kind of regret not trying it harder. I still feel a little lost and alone because I just miss my host family and everyone there so much. I feel like this urge to come to visit in summer because I don't want to wait 2 years, but maybe it's also a way to distract myself from the fact that I have to start my normal life back here in Germany again. I think I should just be happy that it happend and that I had the opportunity but I just wanna go back so bad. My fear is that the people there will forget me because I was just there for a few months.. Thank you for the video! Are you still in Contact with the people you met on exchange?

My grandparents were from Sweden, and came to the United States early in the 20th century. My parents, my brother and I all visited out cousins in Trollhatten and Skovde. They said that it was a running joke in Sweden that Swedes would write home from America and always say "Everything is bigger in America!"

I came back to my home country yesterday from Texas and it is like you said probably the hardest thing i had to experience in my life. Hi! Yes I knew how to speak English before, but it got way better after my year in America. In Sweden we start learning English at an early age in school:)

I think you need to have at least an understanding in English before you go, but you’ll learn a lot during your time there as well.

What happened to EF ..? I was studying with them 2010 in Manchester and 2013 in Barcelona.. it was the best days in my life and it was the best days for EF it was wild and a lot of people there and the best things is living in the student accommodation 😂

Jag åker hem om ungefär 3,5 månader. Jag saknar Sverige väldigt mycket. Men samtidigt känner jag mig inte riktigt redo att gå tillbaka till mitt gamla liv. Jag kommer ha hela sommaren att vänja mig med Sverige igen men jag är väldigt rädd för hur jag kommer känna mig.

Hi, your English definitely doesn’t have to be perfect to go there, it’s fine as long as you can make yourself understood. You are there to learn better English and you definitely will improve so much!!

most people hear in America cant speak English well tbh,so as long as you know the basic words and phrases you can fill in the rest as you get more experince.
