This location there was a regional park launch. There are a couple regional park locations on the delta that are easy to launch a kayak from that are easy to paddle.

@@Azamorafishing yeah right! I’ve caught them on miners slough before but not very often. I was pleasantly surprised to catch them here.

Yeah there’s actually a few sections of the delta that hold a decent population of smallies, just have to know the right sections to fish. My PB smallie is actually on the delta

@ yeah they are out there. Couple sloughs hold them. Didn’t know this was one of them. Really cool though.

Nice. It's funny 30 years of fishing the delta and I never fished Georgiana. where di you access? Close to sac river or Mokulmne?

@@johnnyfountaine this was also my first time fishing it. I just happened to find a regional park access. If you look it up online there is a website for it. No boat launch but a kayak launch and access for bank fisherman

It's a nice slough but be careful of the big boats that fly through there during warmer months. They will swamp small kayaks. Lots of stripers will run through there in a few weeks.

@@fusionstar916 thanks for the heads up. Most of the sloughs are that way in the summer haha. Hard to find places to go where a kayak won’t get bombarded with boaters and jet skis lol.

Yeah it’s a chill spot. Although I did find out recently that there is a “bubble wall” and flashing lights at the split of the slough and the sac river to keep salmon from running up which is probably keeping the stripers out as well….. but there was largemouths, spots, and smallies in the water.

Yeah. It’s a private dock. I’m a member of the outboard club and have access to that launch. Way better than the Jefferson Blvd access.

I had a striper I hooked into and i was fighting it on the rocks and it was dragging me and im 210 and it moved a boulder from under me I was standing on it was a massive fish
