In our opinions, Claude is better for solving coding problems, ChatGPT is better for spreadsheets, copywriting and general knowledge! Some times we play them against each other, and if either go sideways, we just start the chats again, rephrasing ourselves.

@coastalthemes12 күн бұрын
Hey! I don't believe framer offers this natively but you can sort of make this yourself although the heights of the columns will change depending on the screen size however this will allow you to stack the columns on mobile and make sure it still appears nicely. Is this something you want a tutorial on?

How do you loop through tags to show them on the blogs page?
@coastalthemes25 күн бұрын
Hey! Do you want the tag to appear on the blogpost preview on the blogs page? We have a video called 'Using Framer CMS To Create Color-Coded Tag Pills' which will help you achieve that.

Good one, but since im a beginner in Framer , e.g, i placed some subtitles within a framer in a absolute position and after i publish them the text is misaligned why is that happening?
@coastalthemes25 күн бұрын
Hey! Oh no! - So it's possible that because the viewport size is changing when you open the published version, the item will shift inside the block depending on how the element is anchored to the one it's in. Feel free to explain further or share a remix link with us and we'll take a look!

how to change text color of button on hovering?
@coastalthemesАй бұрын
Hey! Great question. When you create your hover state variant of the button - simply click on the text and change the colour (like you would change the colour of the button). If you're using text styles, you can select the colour of your choice in the same way as you would anywhere else in your framer editor.

Great content... I'm assuming one can add various elements within the pop-up like a video or image component?

Yes! You can create the variant and put whatever assets you'd like inside! You could even connect it to CMS content if you wanted the ability to change the content easily from one place.

Greate video! SO how do we move/position hassle free with relative position? to keep the site responsive. cheers
@coastalthemesАй бұрын
Hey! Absolute positioning is always in relation to the nearest relative positioned frame. So to make it easier, ensure you're moving elements positioned absolutely within a relatively positioned frame. This should make designing responsively slightly easier but chances are you'll always need to manually move the element on desktop, tablet and mobile breakpoint designs. Be sure to test on different browser sizes beyond the breakpoints you design on to ensure it scales and moves smoothly. Let me know if this answers your question!
@ilanm98Ай бұрын

How do we make the background blurred or greyed out when the popup is showing?
@coastalthemesАй бұрын
In the variant with the open popup, make sure the frame is the correct height of the viewport. Then you simply fill the background and vary the opacity to create a greyed out effect. You could also use a stop scroll effect when it's open to make sure the user doesn't scroll beyond the framer - framermart.com/component/stop-scroll If you're wanting to blur the background, on the same frame - go to Styles>Filters>BG Blur and you can add the glassy blur effect from the styles panel.

This seems like more work than just starting in Framer (in absence of a better export out of Figma).
@coastalthemes2 ай бұрын
So many designers are Figma-first and are stuck, so it makes sense before starting again and perhaps without the platform knowledge, to try the import method as a kick start. Additionally, if you can move over assets, that's 30% of the job done, but thanks for the feedback :)

These are generally decent videos. But... you go through each sub-topic so quickly & move your cursor back & forth across the screen (zoomed in) so fast, that I have to stop and go back to see what you were just talking about. And things like "if you know Flex you'll know what these are..." then rushing on, is kind of unhelpful. Yes, I'm familiar with Flex, but not how those things necessarily work in Frames. Then pushing the cursor to another zoomed-in part of the screen, and half-explaining the next thing makes these tutorials feel a bit too rushed. So just a humble suggest: occasionally you might want to slow down a bit and take a breath, and maybe spend more time on granular specifics in a more step-by-step fashion. Thanks for making these.

hey, my desktop sizing isnt working well when i do this. does that happen? 'fit content' doesnt work, so i temporarily made it just really long so i could see my content. once everything was set, i tried 'fit content' again. no luck, the page was just extra long. I had more sections to add, once that's done, i'm back to my frames going outside the page... any fix or suggested resources i could look up? it doesn't scroll much either, stops pretty much at the top

Hey - glad the content issue is fixed though! Sometimes things just need to be switched off and on again. Plain text, by default, is unformatted so if you're wanting paragraphs and more structural flexibility then we would recommend you use the "Formatted Text" CMS field.

@@coastalthemes Thank you so much! My last question (hopefully🤞), can I set this up as a page? Is it possible to make it my home page? Right now I have a Home and /collection.. when i set the /collection as a page, it's a blank page with the cms content below it. setting this as home page, the collection remains there and the blank page is the new home screen. edit: Only the index works as a page?

You can go even more advanced by making absolute objects allign with other objects that have max or min widths assigned to them. That's great for when you have a lot of graphical elements (like a splatter of paint) that you want to keep away from text or buttons.
