So glad you still make videos, i learnt so much from your rpg series and managed to finish the whole thing with alot of problem solving ^_^ i even managed to add all the armour peices and swimming, all the floating combat text and my enemies based off yours improved 100x with their own spell systems and skill systems. your tutorials have been the best start off for me! someone that had never made or attempted to make a game before =D thank you so much!

Hey dusky 😀 hope you've been doing well! Glad to see you'll be back at it too 😁 yeah it'll have some skill systems sort of like coral island or stardew, so when you're levels increase you get more of a chance of double resources or stamina boosts, etc. As for building, we'll have some prop placement like fences, scarecrows and what not, but for buildings we'll set up a carpenter system where you can decide where it'll be built but then it's built over time. I'm completely and shamelessly ripping off all my favorite games for this one lol

Thanks for the answer UE5.5.1 you were of course correct I had 0 in the damage. But that’s not all, Fire Rate: if I change the Fire Rate this has has no effect. After the Npc rag-dolls it will still be affected(movement) for sometime after, even if I shoot in the air. UE5.5.1 this may be a bug NPC Collision values (Visibility, Camera) are not being saved if I close UE5.5.1 I have compiled and saved and saved all then reopen the collision settings have been reset to the original settings.

Effect as in push back? Might need to up it's force variable. Or if you mean it's not even putting them into ragdoll check it's damage variable. If it's at 0 it won't even trigger it's "any damage" function because it's not registering any damage.

No need to set the mesh to no collision. when you spawn the item pull from it and set it to no collision from there! Works like a charm if you are make a top down game or a game that requires collision!

They came with the weapon pack, and I'm 90% sure that weapon pack is free. Try looking up "military weapons dark" or "military weapons silver" on the fab marketplace. If they're not free I'm sure there are some other options available, they've added a bunch of new free stuff when they launched fab

It works! I'm using this for rooms that have doors in a top down 2D game, so it's great that level streaming preserves an inventory. Instead of the interact trace function and key press, I used an input action binded to the mouse left click so that there isn't a visible trace radius when I interact with the entry point.

I'm glad it's working for you 😀 if you set the "draw debug type" in your traces back to none it won't be visible anymore, in case you come across another mechanic you may need traces for. Sounds like your system works out for interaction though, keep up the good work 😁

No I haven't given up on it, truth be told I thought about coming back with that series (and a few tweaks to its formula) but thought people would get upset about retreading rpg grounds... an online rpg series is going to start after this shooter series and one other short series I'm prototyping out now (online may run concurrently)

Hi , for some reason my pistol keeps spawning on the floor inbetween my legs but moves when i move, the riffle spawns properly though. I have removed collision but still have the problem.?

Double check your socket names and spelling, if it's even slightly different it'll just spawn at your characters root bone. And make sure you've added a socket for the pistol, unless you're just using the rifle one for it also.

These are some suggestions I'd like to see for this series: Adding bullet tracers/effects like Apex Legends. Adjustable recoil/spread for weapon types, handling bullet drop over long distance, spawning bullet hit decals at impact, adding ricochet ability and how many times it can ricochet/bounce, bullet penetration through certain materials, like plywood or thin metal sheets or thin materials like cloth/tarps, etc. Being able to hip fire and aim down sight, and using sights, zooming in and out. How to handle reloading and ammo pickups, spawning bullet cases that eject after fired. That's pretty much everything I can think of, if you could please include some of these things, I'd greatly appreciate it, thanks!

Have you ever thought of making a solid save load system where you are able to change levels and keep all you items weapons for instance.
