I sooooo loved the Coal Shaker when I was a kid and was so disappointed the year we went to the park and found that it had been removed. I was amazed by how they worked it out so there would always be an empty slot for your car to slide off into.

Yes! I remember that ride from when I went to the park in 1989 and 1991. I don't remember it being there when we went back in 1994.

this is SO cool to see. we used to go to Busch Gardens almost every weekend back in the 80s. I think season tickets were like $15 apiece back then. This is the only footage I've been able to find of it anywhere on the Internet of The Black Spider! I always loved that ride. never understood why they removed it. this is great footage❤

This is so great! I was born in ‘88 and my family started going to Williamsburg every summer around this time. I still love it there! I also wish it were still the way it was in the 90’s. It’s too commercial now. Theming isn’t as special as it used to be. Music is pop, instead of themed to the countries. Merchandise is bland and generic like six flags.

I wanna bring this place to life again. The youth today have no idea what we experienced as children in the 90s.

Great video of the Hershey I loved most. . I loved taking my kids here every year in the 80's and 90's and in later years my grandkids. Back then it was quiet and not very crowded. Spotless clean. Eventually it became too much and I stopped entering the park but still visited Chocolate world and Tudor square ( the original entrance way/area to the park). Now with even that gone it's even more sad. It's been replaced with Chocolate Town. Chocolate Town? I see no town there. Just boring open space. The original was more of a town and more interesting with a better atmosphere. I still go to Chocolate World with my wife now and then but only in the off season because the crowds are overwhelming. I know for park enthusiasts the progress is a good thing, but for this nostalgic old man It's sad. I miss it. Thanks for posting this 😊

Interesting that the music playing at 0:58 , "Water Music" by Handel is one of my favorites! I went to BG Tampa many times living in Ruskin FL in the 80's. Thanks for posting.

They need to make it more like this again. Embrace tradition, reject modernity. The old world style carnival games are so cool. Like the catapult into the bucket!

I have been there last month as well, not at Waldorf!!! 🤑🤑 But at Jerusalem Tower Hotel😁😁 It's an amazing city, a really HOLY PLACE. And it's really amazing how clean is the Jewish territory and in other hand how dirty is some places of the Palestine's occupied territory. Nice video! I miss that place every day.🎉❤😂 Greetings from Brazil! 🇮🇱🇧🇷

"Cuddle Up" was the generic name for this type of ride. Hershey's was first named "The Scrambler" and then later given the coal theme and renamed "Coal Shaker".
