Is there a way to get a zipper without a target mesh? Because I wanna split the original mesh and make a real open animation. I already did that select a edge that gets a curve on it and that curve data is send to your node setup. It works except when I open it up by splitting the original mesh.

You can choose to whow the left side or the right side of the zippers, you can copy the curve and the geonode of the zipper on it and then switch sides to have two sides exactly interlocking.

This is a inspired idea! Can it be driven by an image sequence? I wonder if you bake the nodes, can they be procedurally displaced while holding on to their color? Could make for some very cool motion graphics, or even "damage to the floor" without simulation.

@@wizendweaver Ah, you can do that, you can take parts of the wall away for windows and doors by a black and white image. It will be without round corners though, you will get a pixelated look.

@@3d-eden978 To draw a size, you need to hover the cursor over a point, click and pull and it is drawn. And so you can put many sizes at a time. It is intuitively pleasant and convenient. And I want these dimensions to be linked to objects automatically. Or you could turn off the binding. I mean, when you move an object, the values are updated in realtime. In Revit, the size tool is very convenient - you can simply recreate its functionality and it would be just a cool addon for many. Can I take a look Dimensions and Lines addon for Blender

There is an easier way to control this point density on a curve. Use the spline parameter factor to sample the curve. Then plug the sampled position to reset the position of the curve. Only a float curve node(or a colour ramp node) is needed to control the distribution.

Cool, You are right, that works also. only the colorramp gives some weird results. The float curve works fine. You only cannot make a nice parameter flom the float curve if you want to make your own nodegroup. Thanks for the tip. 🙏

Yes, but an other version on blendermarket can be exported. it comes with this version. it uses face data intead of instance data and when the geometry is realised it will create the UV maps automatically for you.

boss i need help, i procedurally uv map a geometry nodes tree . But the geometry nodes uv mapping system i made is also affecting the leaves. But the leaves are part of the instances of the geometry nodes tree. So this procedural uv mapping is effecting everything even the leaves. When i only want the tree and its instanced branches to be effected with the bark texture. Can you help me ;I?

How can I fold only the corner of a sheet of paper procedurally? I want to adjust the folding angle relative to the sheet along two axes. I know how to do this with the Curve modifier, but it's not always convenient, and Geometry Nodes offer more flexibility for this.

You will have to animate the curve in the same way as you animate your object, You could parent both objects to an empty so they move in unison.

Plugging the spline into the "Trim Curve" node without trimming anything would achieve the same results as this setup. It keeps the shape of the spline but turns it non-cyclic. Hope that helps. 👍

Using the draw tool, you can constrain to a surface as you demo but does the addon work ok if drawing with the pen tool which doesn't have surface constraint? I see you have the object to constrain to in the parameters so if using the pen tool will the stiches still conform to the surface face vectors?

instead of using rotate instances with combine and random, you could simply add a rotate rotation with a random value (vector) and just use the z-values (everything else 0)

Are individual parts of the imported image selectable once converted? So you can apply small changes to only certain stitches? Also can you edit colours of certain stitches?
