I've been playing Civ since the very first games when there weren't any tutorials to learn how to play. I think I even tried to read the Civipedia but didn't get very far. Out of nostalgia, I bought Civ VI on sale for $3 and wanted to try it again. I got discouraged at first because I was so lost. But, watching this tutorial, it gave me an incredible amount of knowledge and I see that it's the kind of game I want to play and master. Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial! It's the best I've seen on KZbin!

I just bumped into your video after playing this game for years on and off but I never continue because it took to long to understand everything. But I’ve recently been playing again and learning in depth for the first time. I absolutely loved the way you walk thru everything and everything makes total sense your a very good teacher! Not very realistic, most fire stations are designed where you can just walk right in and look at the trucks

First time player and when I tried on my own, I was so lost the first 10 mins (advisor didn’t help at all). Watched 3 other “beginner videos” before yours, but I think you explained it the best. Thanks for this. Will watch more as I go along

Bought this game on the ps store for £2.50 the controls feel a little clunky but this is the only guide so far which Ive found that goes into enough depth thank you for your time this game has a terrible tutorial on PlayStation

Late to the party with Civ7 on the way...but Civ6 being $5 on steam...I couldn't pass it up. What a different feel. I have to say....the prominent Civ videos are either dudes on 30 shots of espresso or monkeys full throttle on the typical youtube video hype vibe....I dig your relaxed, normal speed style, Subbed, Been playing since Civ II....what an evolution. I will never forget my email games on Civ II gold....somehow, playing after Alpha Centauri...the franchise has kinda left me less enthusiastic.

This doesn't explain anything that can be helpful to beginners. What city means that you settle at the street in the first place. What if is for. Or anything that is actually needed to know. It's good that if uses the base game and all But this does not help to be able to play this game. I start a game and have no clue what anything is or what to do. 9min saus go to manage citizens and shows one working on a tile. What? How is that even possible? Doesn't even say what that is.

Thumbs down! Nothing in this video makes any sense at all. Says moved to marsh due to not being able to work on the previous tile if settled there. No explanation on how he is able to work the marsh when settling there.

Got gifted civ 6 and im addicted. already facing a tough battle because i haven't found my enemy and they are definitely not on the same continent. I'm thinking of developing a large navy but maybe i should aim for a religious victory? not sure. SRY FOR YAPPING but this tutorial is supperrr helpful

Great tutorial! I bought the game ages ago and was always unsure how to begin playing, so this really helped me. Just a question, is there a reason why you didn't settle your second city (Calais) on the furs? I heard that settling cities on resources allows that resource to be harvested immediately. Is that not true or was there another reason why you didn't do it? Thank you very much!

I just don’t see what this game offers over other strategy games like HOI or Total War. It is so much worse.

I bought the game because it was $3 on a Steam sale. It was interesting to me and BOY could it burn some time away. I swear the clock moves 10x as fast when I'm playing. That said, the game does NOT explain much of anything very well and this and the first video has helped immensely and taught me things I never even knew just from experimenting. That said, I have dominated every game I've played in the War category. Now though, I may actually win in other ways. Although my first and only true win to date was actually a Science win. Go figure. Time to get the rest.
