Clare is an incredibly cruel woman. I met her once at a vanlife gathering and she spent the first day telling me how fat I was and to that I should be only eating carrot soup" I spent the first night in my van in tears having only been freshly out of a 10 year abusive relationship. She isolated me from the rest of the women there and hounded me about why I had my small dog there, even though dogs were allowed and many were there. She was one of three horrendous experiences I had full time vanlifing and I almost left the three day gathering because of her, luckily the person running the event convinced me to move sides and stay, and then I met amazing people, but yeah, she is a really horrible lady who bullies those who she deems doesn't fit her aesthetic.

Really nice. probably the most “ down home” mobile home i’ve seen. One thing i just wondered though is about where the safest place to have ur propane tank secured would be… Obviously, on the road you could get hit from any direction, but i’m guessing that rear end collisions might be the most common, assuming the person driving is a safe driver… so, it just crossed my mind when watching, that maybe the propane tank should be further away from the back… i’m not an expert… just a thought. thanks for sharing.

Good stuff! I admire your skills and appreciate the environmental and health conscious choices. There seems to be so many toxins used in most van/RV builds, from vinyl floors and treated woods, etc. The layout is nice. I'm not sure of the length of the sofas but I would consider making one of the cabinets shorter in order to make one of the sofas the length of a bed. That way, I could keep it made up with sheets under a cover and when it it was just me, I would not have to put together and make up the large bed every night. But that's me, you are the pro. I'm looking forward to this series!
@JordanOsmond14 күн бұрын
Thank you! Yes a lot of the standard materials that are used are either quite environmentally bad or bad for your health or both. I’m glad you appreciate that element of my build. I did consider having the bed the way you suggested but since I’m so tall it would have taken up too much space and made the kitchen smaller than I’d like. I’ve come up with a method to sleep across the width of the van that I’ll show in episode 2. Thanks for watching!

I'd love to know the pre-conversion and post-build weight of this monster. That wood strikes me as very expensive in terms of MPG.
