@Painlesscotton

There is some pretty good irrigated around that got timely rains. Most of the dryland is getting failed. Gonna be another short crop overall which will put a strain on the gins and other related cotton related businesses. Thanks for watching!!

I grew up in Lubbock, this takes me back to the late 90s early 2000s on the family cotton farm. Ran some Case pickers and Deere pickers. Grandpa used to let me sit on his lap and operate the module builder when I was a youngin. Good memories.

I am 70 but my dad picked cotton by hand with a bag when he was a kid. I cannot imagine how challenging it was then in large fields.

Good clean field. I dislike seeing fields with cotton laying out on the ground. The mechanic did a good job on tuning this picker

In West Texas most farmers run a "brush cotton stripper" which is different than a cotton picker. It brings the the whole cotton boll into the machine and is run through a bur extractor which takes out the cotton lint and shucks the burrs on the ground and blows the cleaned cotton lint into the basket.

That water is from rainfall. We had a lot of rain in 2021 and the low spots where the rain runs to and collects untill it evporates. Usually in 2 or 3 months time.
