Love Phaser, easily the favorite game-creation tool I've ever worked with. Excited about all these new and improved features!

Can you do big projects with phaser or is it better to switch to game engines like Godot, for example?

when are you guys going to make an engine that doesn't rely on external libraries that require over 3000$ just to use LOL

Huh? Whatever you are talking about, there are quite probably free alternatives. And Phaser itself doesn't rely on anything costly AFAIK.

This is pretty impressive. :) Glad to see sharing links to content is going to be at least as good as before, and possibly better (I would want to try out 1:12 for myself to see how isolated it makes things, as compared to sharing via the old way, to be sure).
@gammafp3 жыл бұрын
What is the old way?
@JamesSkemp3 жыл бұрын
@@gammafp For example, if I wanted to share how to check if the user is in landscape mode on their device, I could link to photonstorm.github.io/phaser3-docs/Phaser.Scale.ScaleManager.html#isLandscape You can see it shortly before that time mark; the URL is effectively updated with jump links down to the item you want to share. The nice thing about this is it gives you the full context, which appears to be missing in the new simplified sharing view. But again, I'd want to test it out. I also had a hard time getting these in the Phaser 3 docs; I swear there used to be a sidebar menu with a page table of contents ...

Hello Richard, first of all - Phaser is amazing and I admire your work! I noticed a glitch in the way how the transformation works and the dog is rendered during rotation. It is probably something with math, but I'm not sure. On the footage at 0:03 when the dog sprite is rotated outwards the camera (to left-top) the optical effect is like the rendering quad was fractured in the middle along the green line (like a sheet of paper) and being folded when you move the cursor to the left and slightly to top (later at 0:03). I first thought this is only an optical effect related to the debug-rect green lines. But starting on 0:08.5 (debug rect is off) the effect is seen even largely - just like the sprite had the middle line area raised/oblique towards the camera - it is hard to describe. However, there may be something wrong with the transformation at the basic level.
