I know what that is. I got hit with a low-voltage 130V flash trying to plug in something from a defective outlet until the 15 amp fuse opened the circuit. Fortunately this arc flash did not electrocute or burn me, but I got interested in arc flash safety so I never ever have to deal with these things again. High-amperage/high voltage arc flashes have these factoids....... 1. If there is copper in the arc flash, a 3-phase arc flash can happen (not just a 1-phaser), worsening the risk of electrocution or burn related death. 2. Temps can shoot up as high as 35,000 degrees F in some arc flashes. This can lead to up to 4th to 5th degree burns that can go down to the bone--and kill you! 3. If the arc flash leads to an "arc blast", the explosive force can be as high as 2,100 pounds per square inch. This is a bit like 2 sticks of dynamite blowing up at your face and creating a pressure wave from the explosion that pushes you back as fast as 200 or more mph, and slams you to the wall, which can lead to concussions or even other fractures of the body.

@DuraLabelbyGP Жыл бұрын
Hi Shaun, apologies for the confusion. Unfortunately, we don't have a video, but we’ll look into making one! In the meantime, here are some helpful steps you can follow. 1) Take the supply spindle from inside the printer. 2) Use the notched side to press against the black clips on either side of the roller to pop them open 3) Shift the roller to the right and pull the roller out 4) Clean thoroughly 5) Place back into printer and clip back into place If you’re still having trouble, give us a quick call at 1-888-326-9244. Our TSR’s are happy to assist you.

The simple answer is that Arc Flash is 25,000 Celsius plasma usually containing vapourised copper and other nasty stuff.

Add the loud sound of up to 150 dB if there is an arc "blast" instead of flash, and the blast equivalent to being blown by a fragmentation grenade or 2 sticks of dynamite at 1 foot away, and these events WILL DEFINITELY KILL! NOT JUST SEVERELY INJURE OR BURN!

@@guilhermearaujo1350 I witnessed a 130-V arc flash when plugging a night light into a defective home outlet in 1985. Suspected the H wire rotted that caused the flash. The circuit breaker tripped in 0.10 seconds before I got electrocuted or die, but it was a helluva explosion.

I really enjoyed the video. My only comment would be that Shock Protection is not required at the limited approach boundary, it is required at the Restricted, as per NFPA 70E 130.4(f). What would the cost be to have this video altered to reflect CSA Z462-21(the Canadian equivalent) and Licence it's use in Ontario? Thanks
@DuraLabelbyGP3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes...There may not be any PPE needed at that line; the NFPA standard doesn't explicitly require any specific PPE to enter the Limited area. But workers do need to be "qualified" (or accompanied by a qualified person), and that means they need to understand the equipment and hazards, and be prepared to act safely. Please feel free to email our public relations manager for video inquiries: [email protected] Thank you!
