Appreciate the delivery and in-depth review. I may have the opportunity as “the OLD MAN”, to buy one of my daughters used cars, a 2010, CC, Sport, 6sp manual, Bright Silver, blk interior, and I’m ashamed to say with absolutely 100% certainly whether thei 17”’s, 18”s…know their not 19”’s, cause there’s only one Lady in this House, a 2005 BMW M3. The 87 IROC should land on 17’s or 18’, But WIDE..appreciate You!

Bro them maximas with stick shift are zero joke!! They really dropped the ball moving to cvts…. My brothers 8th gen would be soooo sick to mod but cvts don’t appreciate more power. This is the cleanest maxima of this gen I’ve ever seen bro😂 I would rock this thing no questions asked

For anyone interested in doing something like this, the gen 2 CC (2013+) back seats are a direct fit into the first gen (2009-2012). But the beige color changed between the 2 generations, so its really only an option for cars with black interior, unless you dont car that the color isnt a 100% match.

Just go to a junkyard and pull the back seats out of a gen 2 CC (2012+), they are a direct fit. But if you have the beige interior, the 2012 color did change, so it wont be an exact match, but the black color is the same.

The. Breaks take time to really stop..give it a day or two of use then they would be great even if bled them..just changed rear and front power stops on mine and it took a day or two idk what it was but it took a a day or two now they are perfect.

2003 Nissan Maxima is not 2nd Generation but 5th Generation. 2nd generation is 1983-1988. Third generation is 1989-1994. Fourth generation is 1995-1999. Fifth generation is 2000-2003. 6th generation is Nissan Altima with a V6 engine and badged as a Nissan Maxima.

I am Interested in doing the gen III swap on my maxima. I also have already accumulated all the parts needed to do the vortech supercharger installation, the entire kit with brackets and supporting mods (bov, fuel pressure regulator, belts, 3" pulley, larger throttle body, gauges etc.) I am looked for someone who has experience with these swap. Wait what?? isn't that the Motor from a 2012 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SV Sport? if I'm not mistaken that isn't a HR motor it's still a DE motor i Believe? the HR motor comes out of Nissan 350z 2007-2008 3.5L V6 Jdm Engine - VQ35HR unless that 1 just doesn't fit? and if the Motor that you guys isn't a DE motor which motor really is it then what's the name of it?

2nd gen DE from an altima... it was and still sometimes is called an HR although it's actually DE correct

The duralast thermostat is piece of sh* . I ended up buying the Nissan one for $5 more. Had to order it though.

@@ImChrisDuke Yeah, but having to swap it out is a pain in the ass. The guy tried to give me another one, but I wasn't going to deal with that anymore and went to Nissan you got one that's not going to fail. My eighteen-year-old thermostat Shoulda just stayed in, but I thought I was smarter to replace it with a Napa one the first time that eventually failed, making the job even harder because their gasket stuck to the mating surface. Ugh.

on my 02 6MT I installed an H-LSD from a B15 Sentra SE-R Spec V , only paid $350 for the donor tranny. according to nissan database it's the same H-LSD that some of the 5th gen Maximas come equipped with...

Hay man was wondering if I could ask for some advice I’ve been building my 2000 Nissan maxima for a while an I’m putting a 6 speed manual transmission out of a 2003 Nissan maxima and I changed the computer the cluster and the key ignition along with the little white box on the side now it won’t start an the security light is solid

Hey Rudi. I 3rd gen swapped my 03 and also manual swapped it. I have a crank/ no start issue. Codes a P0345 and P0340. Checked the trigger wheel on the bank 2 and its fine, wiring for inverters are fine. When we were doing testing, we took the cam sensor out and put it to metal while having the harness connected. Bank 1 is sending 5V and bank 2 is sending 12V, car is no start. Any suggestions?
