This is one of the most emotive songs of all time. I was in a record store flipping through the new releases. Our UK release said on the cover that it was a US No1, so I gave it a listen. So glad I did, as a DJ it wasn't really the sort of tune I was after, but still found it to be an amazing tune. It put me in mind of a girl I loved and lost a couple of years before, and the feelings I still had for her. At the time, I was DJing at a local hotel doing a Singles night, end it seemed a great one for the end of the night.. 40ish years later I still absolutely love the song. As for the old love, no I never got her back, but she is still in my heart x

For as long as I've loved this song (IOW since 1982), I never knew who sang it. I knew it couldn't be Carlos. And so now, here in 2024, I finally find out that it's this Alex Ligertwood guy (who also sang on Santana's hit, "Winning"). I tell ya man, the internet is so great! Thanks, Stardust19623 :)

She was everywhere. And then one day, GONE! I think it was after she was in a bus accident... or was that Paula Abdul? Dunno. Did they both have one. Anyway, Paula made a comeback. Gloria never did. Weird! I think she's been gone off the public life for some 30 years already... Thanks for sharing, btw!

Impresionante cancion, Una pena que esta como muchas canciones no tengan video de la grabacion, para apreciar los coros, las guitarras. Como muchos de estos grupos no sabian lo que estaban haciendo cuando hacian estas canciones. Estaban haciendo historia.

One of my absolute favorite Boz Scaggs songs. I probably listen to this song more than any other. There’s just something about how it goes to the heart. Beautiful poetry put to music.

It was 1979. I was somewhat over a girl I dated 18 months. Well my high school buddy shisted her from me. Even though I was tired of her whiney mouth. And I thought I broke up with her. Anyways, I met this girl from Ohio. And this song had been on the radio. At this time in my life, I was going under some great changes in my life. I was hoping this new girl would be a long term deal. I would tell myself, this time I'm in it for love; it was crazy to do it again. Well, I did. In 1983. And it all went to....
