Sk8 isn't realistic when it comes to skating. But it does capture the spirit of it. It's not really an organized sport, like there's competitions and stuff but that's not the end goal of skateboarding. The end goal is to do cool tricks and have fun. He also refuses to take someone else’s life because then he won’t be happy. He will selfishly prioritizing his own happiness over everyone else’s, even the worlds, to do things his way.

this is a rare anime which doesn't even go anywhere near the whole dizzy blonde with the big bazooka boobs that ends up falling for the main charater just to be rejected because the main charater is all about his mission/training or has zero confidence talking to the ladies while screaming at the top of his lungs like every second someone has managed to preform a surgery on him without drugs. this anime has a goal and it sticks to it. each charater has a personality and it grows at a healthy pace both in positive and negative emotional ways. his brother growing hatred and resentment because of how he was bested by someone who is seriously disabled being one of them.

I relate to Cherry so much in this!! I hate loud noises and I communicate better through writing…..and with my thing for Smile, I have a gap between the two central incisors on the top row of teeth that I have and I have a severe overbite and a slight cross bite which makes me have faux buck teeth…..but I also have braces and I got them last year and I have to wear them for a year a half before I get them taken off…. Edit: if my school allowed me to wear headphones and I wasn’t scared to do it in public with my mom, I would wear headphones to do exactly what Cherry does….

I finished Pandora Hearts Manga yesterday. Then I said I wanted to start Vanitas no carte. The first episode caught me by supirise. I wonder when season 3 may come. I am sure Jun Mochizuki is going to surpass Pandora hearts. I do not get it. Why do some people dislike it or even compare it with her previous work. Both of them are amazing.

Great video on a great anime (in my opinion, the most important anime of the last few years)! I like some of your takeaways from the show, you framed it differently than I would have. I take a lot more broad, "metaphysical" view of some of the stories, however. E.g., the episode with the monkeys seems less about the cold realities of political structure; I view it as a struggle of the referee, who wants an objectively "correct" game, regardless of his own will , versus the ace, who wishes to impose his ego on reality, dressed up in rationality. But that's perhaps one of the beauties of Sonny Boy, it is very open to interpretation, it does not try to tell you what you should make of it, so I felt like you did open my mind to some themes I wouldn't necessarily have framed the series as.

Pros: This show does a fantastic job with its pacing and story. The way the anime handled Boujjie’s power scaling was genius. Every character was handled with such care and got to showcase so much humanity. Each of them could carry an entire episode on their own and I rooted for every single character to find happiness. The fights ands visuals used effective minimalism and fluidity It never got gratuitous, even during the Bosse village massacre or the Doukkan fight. The ops, all of them Con: There’s a lot of crying, which I get it’s part of Boujjie’s sensitive nature, but the moments where tears felt earned, ended up feeling less impactful. I wanted to cry when Boujjie saw his mom again, but I was too used to seeing him cry in general for Boujjie’s cries to feel cathartic. More Pros: The plot twists were all handled really well, and the unpredictable story beats kept me invested the whole way through. Kage and Heiling are tsundere master classes, and are both my favorite character, except for maybe every other character.
