Huge star means giving up a stake in your valuable work. Sometimes a great fanbase is better, so you can land a favored Memphis deal instead of a dreaded Nashville contract. I'm so happy she's fiercly chasing her goals, and reaching them. But she can be super successful without being a recognisable star.

There are certain covers that artists should never do in my opinion. Not because they aren't great songs but because the original is just too good and you will look and sound like a hack trying to do it justice. BUT that was really good and I enjoyed it. Janis wasn't just an exceptional singing voice she had a certain playful, mischievous and soulful way about her and this lady seems to have that as well. I saw the song that was being covered and just thought yeah I'm not going to like it but I really did =) 👏
