I think I'm doing the backward skating a little better. I wonder is it dangerous to try to skate downhill backwards.

Would you happen to know good brands of skates for children? I have ages 1 -10 and things I should be looking for in a good child's skate? Also would I need to buy outdoor wheels( that light up) if I want my children to be able to skate outside and indoors?

Enjoy these vids. Easy, basic directions that are helpful by experienced and upbeat skater with a good attitude, voice, and skills. Very helpful and honest. Uplifting to get encouraging instructions like "just drop body weight" and "down with butt and up with gut." Finesse not violence!

Yay it finally happened I got my bearing out of my old pink wheels and got them in my new yellow ones. I used the axle as a tool by putting the wheel on backwards. Now I can send my old wheels to Davie Jones lockbox.

Really enjoy all your videos and have learnt loads. I seen this one a few weeks back and thought that's a keeper :-) Strange thing is I find this harder to nail than other moves, even skating backwards, that's another strange thing I'm a much better more confident backwards skater than forwards. I'll get it slowly, fingers crossed. Thanks for your inspiration.

I'm so grateful for the dirty school of skate. I skate instruction free. I have been given an opportunity to "teach" something called " flomotion " so I am learning terminology along with many other things

Used to skate in my teens and early 20s, now over 50 with a 16 year old daughter who’s fallen in love with skating. She wants me to start again, just bought some nice skates but I’m slightly concerned it won’t come back. I was pretty good back in the day, but I’ll just have to re-learn and be patient I guess
