I found a large 2 bedroom in Bocagrande, newer building, for 860 a month. Some owners I came across required the full year rent in one lump sum, so there is "no risk" to the owner. It really depends on your realtor, and who you know that can point you in the right direction. I have never met a person from the states paying anything near 1,400 a month for a one bedroom in CTG. El Cabrero and Marbella give the same views of the water, a more relaxing beach experience (less to no vendors), and easier access to the walled city for less than 800 a month. There are many guys from the states living in CTG with their own experiences that don't make YT vids. Your presentation does not speak for everyone as a whole...and although you are giving info...it is simply info based on your experience. It may apply to the next guy making a move to CTG, but the real estate info that you are relaying is far from my experience and others that I have met in CTG.

Everything you said is true! Me and my fiance have a 3bd 3bth apartment in Cartagena about 30 minutes outside of the tourist area. We pay $460 a month category 4 secure building pool jacuzzi one parking space. I had to go through a lot to get that apartment and we even had to get a co signer to sign for us even though I easily make the money. Why? Because the owner understands, things don’t work out with me and my fiancé and I dip, she wants someone’s that’s gonna be responsible even though my shorty is a registered nurse. They wanted another guarantor. We’ve had no issues and pay her on the third of every month like clock work. Now if we decide to leave after the year lease or buy a home later, it will be much easier. But trust me, they were not playing but we good now. Be there in our home for 3 weeks for 🎄

yep agreed. the tourist areas like bocagrande are great but its not the real experience. go deeper into turbaco and then you get a better feel of the country. especially women, dont focus on the girls you meet in clubs or social settings. those are most likely pros lol. and guys you dont want to be laying down with pros. its just not a good habit to cultivate. You want to meet a girl who works a job, went to school a little bit, doesnt get impressed by "gringos', pretty good relkationship with her family, wants to just date you like a regular person would and preferably has no children. took me 9 months to network my way around and build a solid network. and for the love of God learn spanish. itll be an entirely different experience for you.
