That's a shame that you feel that way - but this video was me sharing my experience as I go through it to help anyone else on a similar journey. To be real and transparent. I'm not an expert in Chinese herbs and not endorsing anyone so why would I give name of supplier? Just sharing my experience - and was planning to continue, but decided I needed to go offline to really focus on healing.

does that mean that after you make the water hotter than 45 degrees C, the cacao drink is not so powerful?
@LisaFearon Жыл бұрын
I’m sorry I was not notified of your comment and just seeing it now. It’s not known for certain, but generally when exposed to temperatures higher than that, raw products no longer hold their raw components. And raw cacao has over 200 active plant compounds which we’re wanting to keep active. It may be that you can warm it higher, but really it’s unnecessary to be able to enjoy it. Hope that makes sense 😊

Can I use cacao nibs in the same way? X
@LisaFearon3 жыл бұрын
Hi Joanne, yes you potentially could use nibs. I don't know of anyone who does tbh, because I think you'd have to use such a lot of them to get a ceremonial dose (which is 42g) But you can always try and see? I'd say to try with 30g as a first time, and make sure it's from a reputable company, organic and not heat processed (so it still has all the active ingredients that have such a powerful and amazing effect on the body). Let me know how you get on if you try it, I'm curious! Also if you have any other questions, check out my chocolate coach page on my website www.lisafearoncoaching.com/chocolate-coach You can get in touch with me there too if you have anymore questions and I can get back to you straight away. There is also ceremonial cacao on there you can buy x

Hey, I'm not sure who this is, but I don't aim to help people with their issues, my work is to empower people to help themselves. The amazing thing about working with Cacao in the way I do is that it guides you to realise that you have all of the answers and the healing potential within yourself. No one has the answers but You. It just may take some work to connect deep enough to promote true healing.

Thank you! You said you used 100g water? (right after you mentioned the water component). However it seems to me to be much more water, if you meant 100g of cacao, then it wouldn't make sense with the base of 42g? :) And also what do you think about the raw cacao being anyhow sensitive to metal (such as knifes or blades of blenders) or is it fine, because the initial fruit/bean was transformed through the fermentation process or maybe anyhow it doesn't matter? And also does the sugar (even natural one as honey) have any impact on the results as I guess traditionally they might not have used any sweetener? And last but no least :) what about vanilla being a kind of supportive partner of the cacao? Love
@LisaFearon4 жыл бұрын
Hey, great questions! Sorry, It's not notifying me when I get comments for some reason, I just happened to see this by chance. Never too late I am sure :) So I was taught the best way to make the cacao was 1 part cacao and 3 parts water - to just make it an enjoyable drink. If you're just doing it for yourself it doesn't really matter. Do it to your preference. But if you're making a big batch for a group, that's how I'd measure it. So in regards to using the blender, I felt intuitively that It'd be fine if just using it to mix rather then for a long time. So I literally just use it for a matter of seconds, as it creates such a creamy, smooth cacao drink. I have done it with blender and without blender and don't notice any differences when using it ceremonially. And I have experimented with it a lot. I have never been told there is an issue with metals. My teacher, the Cacao shaman in Guatemala used knifes to cut it down. Traditionally I believe in Guatemala they used a tree resin called Panella (not sure if that's the spelling) to sweeten. I would say sweeten it to your preference, the more you enjoy something you ingest mindfully, the more your body lights up to it. The more of an emotional response, the more connection. Trying to force something down feeling that's how it 'should be done' would create some form of resistance. Enjoy it. Yes it is a medicine, but it also play. Using natural sweeteners doesn't alter it's effectiveness, nor would the addition to other things such as vanilla should that be your preference. I use different things, but generally I just keep it pure when using it ceremonially. Play around with it, experiment - and follow your intuition <3 Which Cacao are you using btw? Is it ours? :) Enjoy! <3

@@LisaFearon Thank you! I will. Btw Panela is referred to as unrefined whole cane sugar, however it may simply be the common word for sweeteners in the area, so I can imagine it being from some other plant type such as a tree or different plant parts such as resin. Would love to know if it's other than cane or palm sugar. It won't be maple sugar. :) Love

Hi Nicole, I'm sorry I am only just seeing this message. Nut milks are ok with cacao to make a drink - I really like hazelnut or oat milk with it as it makes it nice and creamy :) But if you were using Ceremonial Cacao, I would always say to keep it pure - and just add spices/ sweetener.

42 grams of cacao powder or paste? I heard paste is 50% powder and 50% butter or is cacao nibs basically the same as paste?
@LisaFearon6 жыл бұрын
Hi Zobrut thank you for your interest and question. Cacao used for ceremonies has to be pure cacao paste. It's the whole bean ground down into a paste - with none of its ingredients removed. It is unprocessed and therefore all of the plant compounds still active. With the cacao nibs, it is uncertain how they've been roasted as to how active the compounds are. But essentially, if you were to grind down the nibs you'd create a paste yes! Have you tried it? If you'd like more info check out my webpage The Chocolate Coach www.lisafearoncoaching.com/chocolate-coach And feel free to contact me if you have any more questions or would like to purchase pure ceremonial cacao or come to one of our cacao visioning workshops! Lisa x

No i haven't tried the ceremonial dose yet. I usually add cacao powder or nibs to smoothie but i have never been over 15g powder which i assume is equivalent to 30g paste? Thanks again and thanks for the video and response. I have criollo cacao nibs and arriba nacional powder which one is better? They are both raw and certified organic so i was hoping it was best quality. I only recently found about ceremonial grade but i hardly ever noticed anything stating which is ceremonial or not.
@LisaFearon6 жыл бұрын
Zobrut the nibs would be the one likely to not be processed. The powder you can't be sure how they've processed it. If it was machine-processed and taken to temperatures over 50degrees then it starts to have an impact on the plant compounds. Ceremonial cacao is high-grade cacao sourced from sacred places that have the tradition of using cacao within ceremonies. To connect to our higher self to heal, be guided and gain insights and clarity etc. For example I source mine from either Guatemala, from the Chocolate shaman myself when I go over there or the majority I source straight from a farm in Peru. Both sacred places- used traditionally by the Mayan and Aztec people who believed it to be plant medicine to connect to the Gods! Where are you based? ☺
