I'm confused. Are u saying liquid (fractionated ) B. oil is useless or just plain trash compared to the solid version? According to 'Curly Chemistry's channel (black chemist whose specialty is black hair care) she says both are equally effective for hair growth. Solid version is better for deep treatments & pre-poo, due to more saturated fats; Liquid version is better for daily use as a sealant to lock in moisture, enhance hydration, etc...due to higher unsaturated fats. I'm 100% with u on any China brands (which are fake AF!). There are no Batana (Palm oil) trees in China. LOL. One should look for 100% Pure B. Oil, sourced from Honduras.

Your right! Batana 100% cannot be liquid. I received it from you when it was hot and it was in a liquid form when shipped. So my crazy tail put some in a bottle since it was liquid. Then the weather cooled down and that joker went back solid! Lol I was like well I have to heat it up to get it back out of there 🤪 I really like the product. 😊

Actual the batana parts that are at the end of the ingredient list reads: Elaseis Oleiifer (Batana) Seircin, Citric Acid. What a joke. I got taken. I wanted a moisturizing for my hair, but instead of got something fake that make my hair hard and dry.

You can buy from a variety of vendors. If you don’t mind the smokey scent and a slightly different profile from burning the kernel , you can find a variety of vendors on Etsy. If you would like the cold pressed version, we have it on our site: naturescrushhandmade.com. Just don’t buy liquid Batana that says 100% pure. It’s fractionated.

I am a product tester, and guess what I received this week...2 solid form Batana oils ( one a caramel brown color the other a pale brown almost tan color) and a bottle of cold-pressed liquid Batana oil. Thank you for the information I need to write my feedback, I have been getting conflicting information from sources. I knew something was off.....they all say 100% Batana with no other ingredients listed...2 smell like cocoa butter or nut butter, and one has no smell at all which is odd. My last product review was of clear "Jamaican black castor oil" in an amber glass bottle. I ripped those people to shreds over that crap. People do have skin sensitivities and allergies, and these crooks out here lying to make a buck off of AA haircare products. You have to be careful what you buy, I have called out about 60% of the sellers of hair/skin care products for fraudulent products.

Would you mind sharing your email with me? I recently purchased 3 jars from a different source and would love to share that with you so that you can let me know if I have the "good stuff" or not. Mine is brown but is a whipped consistency verses a buttery consistency, not greasy at all and doesn't smell like coffee. Just want to be sure. Thanks in advance. *If you do share your email I'd be sending mine to you from my KZbin account name, "Knowing Nia".
After reading and doing some research about the Batana oil, I can categorically tell you that Batana oil and Yoruba adin is the same. Same method of harvesting, same method of processing the oil. It has other benefits besides helping your hair grow, it's an excellent oil for the skin. Also good for babies. It has a distinctive smell to it, it can also be solid at room temperature depending on the climate. Interestingly, Batana oil is made from different varieties of the palm fruit like Elaeis olifera and Elaeis deifera, some of this species of palm are also native to African/Nigerian tropical forest. The predominant species in Nigeria is Elaeis guineensis.
@naturescrushhandmade79724 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for your comment. I’m so sorry but that is not correct. Yoruba Adin is a red palm oil kernel. The Palm family is HUGE. They are different species thereby having a different chemical composition. Chemically they are not the same. Google the fatty acid profile of each of these and you will see that they are different. I hope this helps.
@christianaalex-ojei5053 ай бұрын
Yoruba adin is the oil of the kernel.....what you're referring to as red palm kernel oil is actually known as palm oil, and is gotten from the fruit and not the kernel.

@Chai_Simone5 ай бұрын
Also is batana made from America palm trees IN Honduras? Or are their actual batana trees/plants?
@naturescrushhandmade79725 ай бұрын
The oil is extracted from the nut of a palm native to the Americas. We import our kernel from Central America. It is cold pressed in house.
@naturescrushhandmade79725 ай бұрын
The brown color is due to the method used to obtain the oil from the kernel. A lot of Batana on the market uses heat to source the oil. We use pressure, therefore the Batana does not turn brown.

Elaeis olifeara (american palm) aka batana is a wonderful, wonderful oil that hardens at cooler temperatures but will soften rather quickly just as soon as the room gets warm via the container that it is stored in, the scent is going to be coffee with a lil hint of tobacco. I prefer to use mines straight up( no mixing with other oils) and I know that some people cannot use batana straight up as it may be too strong for them. Anyone wanting to use batana, I would encourage all that is interested to see how the people of miskito process it to extract the oil, just an fyi this one in particular has a lower yield of oil which would make it expensive and the process is a bit long and tedious which requires a lil bit of labor. Elaeis guineensis(african palm) aka african batana has a different scent that is on the sweeter side, they come as a liquid but the consistency is like syrup, I don't know how they process it yet but I do know that it has a higher yield, I've seen this one mixed a lot with shea butter.
@naturescrushhandmade79727 ай бұрын
Hello. Yes. I have a video on my channel about how the Miskitos process Batana oil. That is why it has the brown color and smokey odor. They use heat. Heat, as you are probably aware of, can remove the full efficacy of a product. We process our Batana using pressure (cold-pressed). We have options for 100% raw Batana or Batana infused with other scalp and skin loving ingredients. Thank you for your comment.
