I don't think Jin-Young did anything wrong. He was confident, honest, well mannered, real and brave all throughout. He has every right to contemplate and explore his options bc he was only there for a week. In the end he was true to himself and chose her, plus in that last bonfire he made it very clear in front of everyone, but she is a coward imo bc she didn't follow her heart. But it doesn't matter she chose Jong-woo, they never even went official as a couple after the show. The world can see how different she was with JY vs JW.

I saw Jinyoung always holding a pen and paper in their tent in SI2. Just like when he was in Bloody game. (He’s one of the players there). I think he also strategized the game really well that’s why he is open in talking and getting to know the girls who he curious about.
