Did you ever hear of a dump loader? Designed to do both jobs, so you can go to the job load 12 ton of muck on and then tip it off. Can’t do that with a low loader!

What is the purpose for a stone layer? Is it a drainage purpose or it also used to make arena base more stabile? Is it the stone fraction important for arena and what is the difference between smaller and bigger fraction stones for arena?
@cyberprop3 жыл бұрын
It’s a drainage layer, 40mm clean stone we use limestone as it doesn’t break down as much as sand stone etc. If the ground is bad then a blinding layer of hardcore/40mm to dust should be used first then the drains then the clean drainage layer
@baniuliusodyba27583 жыл бұрын

Duck Girl, Aimee Pooley is a highly skilled operator of the incredible family of multi purpose , multi use new machines such as the Volvo EW160E w/trailer and attachments. Watching her ‘ditching ‘ video on KZbin you can only marvel at her skill and coordination as she twirls the bucket, carving out ditches, switching seamlessly from accessory to accessory. Sheer ballet.

Brilliant multi-use set up with a skilled, neat operator as duck girl is, can't blame her for not allowing comments on her videos as she'd likely find much of her free time taken up with addressing them.

Bravo to the skiers and to you for the capture! I have skied on many occasions close to there, but never considered that to be a run. Maybe it was never an option on 210cm skis! With snow on, it reminds you of the Eiger, don't you think?

Dont you rebar the whole area (if rebar is the right word, my english isnt so good) before pouring the concrete? Im working with only concrete floors for a long time and we always rebar the whole floor (often 1300m2+ per session) before pouring, and strengthen with 16-28mm bars in every corner, with 4m minimum joints. Or do you use fiber-concrete?

Deee Luuugnt we drop it in after laser screeds been over or you need to Change wheels on them and slows it down. Most the big pours you see in America etc they just have it sat on the bottom doing nothing anyway with no cover.

Danielle Webber we usually take 4 weeks depending on access and size, if you look me up on Twitter or Instagram (@gb_Groundworks or giles_uk) we've just built another 40x20 and a 16x20 lunging one next to each other. And we are currently building a 30x15 one in Glossop.

Bad idea because the drone would run low on battery power then it would be going down the hole
@cyberprop8 жыл бұрын
With that reasoning you'd never fly it anywhere, you have a battery meter on your screen and it returns and lands at take off point once below 20% battery. I got about 150 flight under my belt now but thanks for the concern lol!

I live in Florida. I was wondering if i can ask you the quantities of dirt and stone you used for a ring this size? Also what type of stone and dirt...and/or sand?
@cyberprop8 жыл бұрын
For a 40x20 metre arena it's about 180 tons of 40mm clean limestone as drainage bed and 180 tons of washed silica sand for the sand layer. Each layer is 100mm or 4" to you.

Awesome! Really appreciate that

+Giles Bertenshaw one more question, do you use some type of drainage pipe buried under the stone lines in the first layer in the beginning or first layer? or is it just a french drain field?
