Thank you for this video. I have recently been diagnosed with Achalasia and am going to be making a decision on which procedure to do. I have the same symptoms as you did and completely understand you! Your explanation was very articulate and helpful. Is everything going well now?

I’ve had it since 2013 took 3 years before drs knew what it was I’ve had to many stomach surgeries please do ur research I have an excellent dr here in Fl who did my first surgery that was rough in 2015 cut from front to bk had rib removed redone my esophagus an my stomach but I also had to. Of scar tissue my lung was stuck to my liver it was a mess from so many surgeries, my last surgery was 2020 Dr Bangs in Orlando did that one from within not cut on outside an it worked but I’m at end stage now which means they can’t cut my esophagus anymore , when this comes bk an it will most people it don’t I’m just unlucky , then from what I read they take part of my stomach an make it part of ur esophagus but Dr Bangs did not tell me this she said when time comes she will explain better to me I don’t want to be on feeding tube again was on 3 time once for more then a year so please go to the best of the best if under to know more in box me 👍🏻💕

Thanks for the video! I hope you're doing well now. I'm having similar issues. I've had tests a few years back but they couldn't find anything. Since then it's only gotten worse, and I'm getting my first consult with an achalasia specialist in April. Hope they can help me.
