One theory I raise is that some Kraftwerk songs have been reduced in their original sizes, usually some of their masterpieces are extensive electronic symphonies, as you can see in Kling Klang, Autobah, Trans Europa Express (this track is divided in three parts), Techno Pop (also in three parts). I raise this hypothesis because some songs significantly alternate their arrangements and just end up. There may be a possibility to reduce sales costs as the original songs could make the band's albums more expensive, since they would have to split it on more than one vinyl record, choosing only the most relevant song from each album. Here's a brief list of songs that could have been edited, shortened in some way: The Model (I believe that The Model had a second part, instrumental and more atmospheric, the song itself shows very intelligent sound arrangements) Neon Lights (this song is divided into two sequences, the first part is vocal and the second part is instrumental, possibly there would be at least an additional 6 minutes. The song has a lot of special effects that could have been explored more originally.) Showroom Dummies (the same happens with Neon Light, but it was reduced further to fit the album) These are just hypotheses that could have existed on the master tapes. The work continues to be wonderful. I really like this musical group. When Florian Schneider passed away, I cried with sadness.
@Fuchsfein2 жыл бұрын
When performed live in concert in Italy in 1981 Neon Lights opened with the verses in German and in English as on the album but then turned into an extended jam with some wonderful use of the Orchestron. One of the few KW songs that I enjoy even more in live renditions than on the album. Les Mannequins or Showroom Dummies got a similar treatment. In general many early concert performances were longer than the album versions of the songs and featured plenty of improvisation. I'd assume that the limits of the vinyl format forced them too keep some of the studio recordings shorter, the concerts show that these songs lend themselves well to lenghty improvisation.

interesting.. but why not run the drum loop into the gecho? unless you did and I missed it
@LupusMalus5 жыл бұрын
I did - by using the microphones of the gecho. At 1:25 to 1:27 you can hear a little bit of the gechos´ loop-effect on the beat. But I know what you think, the effect is more powerful when using the line-in.
@Sk8erMorris5 жыл бұрын
@@LupusMalus ah ok; I mean, no right way of doing it.. Clever to use that method tbh but I think that method is harder because you'd have to deal with a feedback loop but I know there are ways of working around that, thanks and nice jamming

@LupusMalus6 жыл бұрын
It´s always fun to combine some cheap synths like the "Stylophone GenX-1" and the "Korg littleBits" with the "Korg monotron delay" I used here because of the quick and dirty results. Nice sound comes out of the old Yamaha PS36 to play melodies and: the Korg minilogue is quite useful , too . I also use the Kaossilator though it´s not very analogue .. (-:
@northernintrovert6 жыл бұрын
@@LupusMalus Thanks for the insight, very interesting! : ) I just had to google Kaossilator, is that different from the Kaoss Pad? Am I living in the past? Hah.
@LupusMalus6 жыл бұрын
@Northern Introvert Then welcome to the past! That´s where I´m living ((-; The kaossPad (I use the miniKP2S) is a nice little effect-device and the kaossilator is a "real" synthesizer with 100 preprogrammed sounds, a small 8step loopfunction and arpeggiator.
