Hi there, My name is Daniel Costa. I'm a musician from Brazil. I'm doing some research on Projection Mapping and I wan't to use it on my musical performances, projecting images and videos on to my gear and also a screen behind me on stage. Could you help on choosing the best option for a projector (I believe a short throw projector) and the software? As for the Projector I found here the BenQ MX631ST and the Optoma GT760 for a reasonable price. What do you think? And the Software I've found the Heavy M (appears to be the most user friendly) and MadMapper (appears to be more professional). Finally I have an example the I made using an Optoma S341 and Heavy M Demo. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqq3Y2ukqK2ShLc

I'm looking for a team to collaborate with to submit to this contest on behalf of my organization Truth Pharm. lumafestival.com/phase-one/ This takes place in my home town. I have some concept ideas, but do not have the animation or video producing skills. The project I am thinking of will portray the struggles of addiction, the beauty of recovery and loss, but in an abstract way. Last year LUMA had about 25,000 visitors and it will be bigger this year. There is a $5000 prize for the best submission, the competition is going to be serious. So, I'm looking for a team to collaborate with. We can split the winnings evenly with my split being donated to Truth Pharm. I'm looking for serious talent in 3D mapping or the ability to learn it quick if you are already a video artist. Please share or send to your contacts! The first phase of the competition is (stupidly) July 15th and they just announced the contest. If you feel you cannot do this - as your level of experience is too high, or you're too busy, etc. Do you have any contacts, friends, colleagues, employees or interns who may be interested? Please see my post pinned to the top of our facebook page: facebook.com/TruthPharm/

Taking consumerism to the next level !!! Way to go !!! Now we can buy more things we don't need lol. Fucken elitists. The whole world wants artificial wants and needs, because the filthy wealthy billionaires say so.
@dank6617

+Fogo Enhistry the computer you are using right now to post such an inane comment was also developed by a filthy billionaire who created an artificial want when spreadsheets were done by hand. At that time the computer was an "artificial wants and needs". and now it became a vital cornerstone for the world's economy. You will never understand how seemingly aimless progress actually ends up discovering unforeseen ways that revolutionizes your life. The whims of billionaires is not about becoming wealthier, but about changing the world. That's the luxury of being wealthy: being free enough to think about the future, and not be worrying about the day by day worries of survival. For mere mortals who have such worries, being a visionaries feels like a waste of time.

+Dan K Keeping your visionary talents and/or methodologies hidden/inaccessible by the masses is a portrayal of what it means to be a faux visionary:"inventing" things only to benefit a small class of people while everyone else who worked so hard to achieve these millstones, are left only with momentary and crummy fruits of their hard labor/work. It is an obnoxious and abhorrent way to view the world and our human collective species. These overtones make it vividly clear that profits over people, animals; and all else, except the oligarch, is and what always has been on the agenda. Those who fail to "invent" in alignment with the rules of the order/current, outdated, archaic establishment, will be considered an enemy of the system and thus cast aside and ignored by the powers that be. What can be seen as the culprit is an invisible entanglement conveniently packaged as so-called "democratic process", which is heavily dependent on; thrives on: desperation. Hence, "the survival of the fittest" or in some cases: survival of the most vicious who will be inevitably tasked to loopily climb up an unsustainable and inhumane "pecking order". All the while, cronies of the oligarch are there to do as they please, even sadistically abuse, exploit, medicate and palm off all the blame onto unsuspecting minions and/or victims of systemic violence. Limiting resources to meet non-universal goals in order to funnel up enormous amounts of wealth into the hands of "privileged" people is just an absurd waste of our collective existence. As a human collective where only the few benefit extensively from this mechanized, robotized system of hierarchical order, forcibly imposed onto those stuck at a the low-end of the "food chain" as indentured servants for the better part of most our entire existence, both past and present, is a sadistic approach and atmosphere to produce visionary ideas.

+Fogo Enhistry when did I say that "keeping visionary talents or methods inaccessible to masses"? I guess my example flew over your head: YOU are using a computer, not only the richest people on earth, but YOU and everybody else. You are using GPS, have sophisticated healthcare that would assure at least 70 or 80 years of life, you are using a refrigerator and don't need to be harvesting or hunting every day to survive. You can even fly, every day if you want to, it is not reserved for a small elite.

Comments like this are an example of why so many people think socialism is a failed ideology. You basically just said that if something can't be created from the start in a way that would make it available to everyone then it shouldn't be created at all. That's idiotic.
