In my personal opinion, the entire film was cheapened by the failed punchline in the boardroom. You should have kept the mystery and the magic by ending it with the frying pan and the-freakish man in the kitchen. If you had done as I have instructed - 4/5

More Newsreels from your archives, please! I helped make some of them when I was in UCL's FilmSoc in the 60s (#27 onwards?) and it would great to see them again.

The ones who stay because they love the place put don’t benefit from their leaving neighbours’ sudden wealth . This may apply more perhaps to those who live in less urbanised areas which aren’t run down and are nice places to be born & spend a lifetime. 🐢❤️

I loved watching this short movie! It's choppy and could use more smoothness in terms or transition and audio fading between the cuts, but still it even adds up to the mood somehow. Love the concept, great work 😎 Any chance of finding the authors?

This feels like a pretty biased documentary (pro gentrification) which could have more balanced arguments for pro and against. I suppose it's interesting to see it from a perspective like this though.

This was a very disturbing poem/ film, however I do appreciate the acting performances and the music score. Overall, good. the content however is destructive.

Very interesting documentary of one of London's more interesting areas (I am looking at renting a room in a flat on brick lane so this is research!). Only quibble is that the sound on the video is very quiet.

There's probably around 10 curry houses left in Brick Lane. There's now niche businesses opening up in the south end of Brick Lane, there's 2 barber shops that charge a £20 just for a normal haircut (short sides, scissor cut on the top). Few burger joints.

This is a historic and oldest mosque in London. Islam is constantly rising in the UK and so I don't see Brick Lane Mosque ever closing. Maybe in years time, but not anytime soon.
