very true. but we come from somewhere with bad weather. most people in the world have never or almost never experienced below freezing temperatures. So its nice for us to think that layering a ton to not freeze and maybe sweat while still having your fingers freeze off if you want to use your phone" as NOT BAD WEATHER. I think half the world at least would look at us saldy buried in our mountains of coping. If you want to get in and out of your heated car, gotta take layers on and off, we have more shoes and much much large closets, especially full of big coats. Meeting new immigrants from around the world you realize that a miniority actually live with freezing winters, and don't have any of these issues. i guess they miss out on skiing....i would never trade 4months indoors for that!

This is such good advice. Staying motivated is something I struggle with and it really impacts my consistency with pretty much everything - creating content, exercise, etc. For sure going to try this instead. Also, love your energy!

I stopped saying publicly what my goals are because I've fallen victim to the exact things you said. Like somehow after I post said goal I lose steam, then I have the added shame when someone asks me about that goal and I didn't see it through. One exception is finding a full-time job or looking for a different job. It's helpful to network in case someone hears of something. But for some reason that feels different to me than a lot of other goals like running a marathon, moving to a new location, or saving X amount of dollars.
