Thanks they are all rehomed to good families now. Yeah that’s way too high for them to do a C-Section. Normally readings at a 2 or below indicate labor within 24 hours. I’m very surprised the vet decided to do a C Section with that reading. It also depends on when the pups died. Was it immediately or within a few days that they died?

That’s extremely high. I’m not sure where you are located but you might want to try a range of 2-3 hours from where you live to find something less expensive. With that being said, I still wouldn’t want to risk losing a $20,000 + litter for 10% of the cost of a C-Section.

@ problem here in california.. there is too many breeders now. We are like massive french bulldog in shelters. The price drops... before im ok with 2000 dollars to save my puppies and some of them rehome with my c section and caring money back.. but because of massive production frenchie become common here in california.. 20 000 litters will never happen here except you have fluffy... male akc frenchie cause now less than 1000 if you want someone buy it. 1500 to 2000 dollars massive very healthy and chunky big bone frenchie. Ofcourse full akc.. also what you gonna do if you found out is just one puppy?? You still need to save your dog... is just c section here is too much and they don't care if you cannot pay...

Believe it or not your dog in videos and mom the way she looks. Those puppies only cause 1500 to 2000 for female if male may be cost only 1000 with akc.. but it will giving you hard time here in california to find a buyer... correction

How many total pups did she have? I’m just curious because I’m comparing her belly at 55 days to my dogs. I’m wondering if my dog may only have one or two pups from the size of your dogs belly at day 55, they about the same size.

You definitely want to call a vet on that. The size of the puppies will most likely be too large to pass a puppy.

@trinalopez8808 sounds like she has about two weeks remaining until she goes into labor. The only way to know for sure is with a reverse progesterone at around day 60 to find out when she will go into labor.

Yeah it can take up to 8 months for them to stand up. All of his brothers are standing but I don’t want to tape them this early as he is still only 8 weeks.

I would need more information to drill it down but with the information given it could be a very wide range that you could produce. Not knowing the presence of cream, dilute, brindle, or coca makes it impossible for me to know though.

You might be on to something. I will say that after they get past a 2 the number will shoot up but I’ve never ever had a dog rise that quickly especially 12 days after starting her heat. That’s why we need to share this knowledge so we know what’s going on. I’m praying that she took but I won’t know for sure for another two weeks.

Yes that’s correct. That just means when I use all of the dewormer for all five of my puppies I just discard it and use a new one next time, it I definitely use that one syringe for all five puppies when giving dewormer. Lmao 🤣 about doubling your puppy count. I know it’s more work but that had to be a pleasant surprise.

I think you are referring to Harlequin and Koi. These are two different things. Harlequin comes from a dog having one copy of the M-Locus, Merle, combined with the H-Locus, which is a modifier gene known as PSMb7. Both of these can actually be tested for. Koi is simply Merle renamed in the dogs. As far as a Husky Koi is concerned, the husky part can't be tested for and comes from crossing over French Bulldogs from another breed. Similar to Big Rope it's just a look but nothing testable currently in the DNA to help identify.
