Belle, your smile is so infectious, I can't help but smile too!! You can also barter or trade services. My daughter is a massage therapist and she just traded a massage for a bunch of gardening supplies, books, flower pots, garden paraphernalia, ( welcome signs etc.) Inexpensive food goods like sugar, flour, corn meal, dry beans, etc. keep for a long time and can be used for bartering. Also, in an emergency pinch situation, you can trade those little tiny liquor bottles for something you really want. I don't drink, but a lot of people do, so I have a supply of those little tiny liquors for emergency trade use. They only cost about $2.00 a piece. Also, my husband used to smoke cigars but stopped a long time ago. So he has about a gazillion good quality old cigars that can be bartered in an emergency. I was going to throw them away, but I found out they're valuable for bartering. We have to think outside of the box. We have to do our collaboration real soon!!❤❤😂😂😅😂❤

@@lifespanwellnessbeauty-60i64 I cannot wait! ❤️ 👍🏼!! You are such an incredible viewer! First of all thank you for the compliment. You have a plethora of excellent information - - I did not even think about Services. I hope that people will read this because I truly believe that even if we don’t have a failure of the fiat currency, we may be moved into a digital currency, which will really hamper a lot of people’s efforts, to be independent from oversight of all of their finances! And yes, having on hand some of the items that support peoples habits would be awesome! I am hoping many people will read your comment and learn from it! I love love, love what your daughter was able to get for that massage. How exciting! Talent equals income. Yes, yes, yes - - I cannot wait for our collaboration. In all honesty, I don’t know how to do it, but I’ll study on it before we do. I hope you’ve been feeling better and will gain strength as you fight the pain.👍🏼🤩

Here in Michigan, we've gone without electricity during both summer and wintertime, so we're ready. I'm not trying to be funny Belle, but I've gone without food for 21 days during a 21-Day fast challenge so going without food isn't a problem for me.😂 But we do have tons of food in our pantry, (started building up a lot during Covid-19.) And we have a bin full of everything needed for emergency use. I'd like to get one or 2 of those little butane stoves to cook on. We have a big lantern on each floor, 2 on the top floor. You can get those for about $4.99 at Walmart or any hardware store. We also have those tap lights upstairs and on the first floor. If it's a longer term situation, a big plastic bag can be used on the toilet after the water is drained out. I love your prepper videos because I do this too. Some other preps we have: plastic ware, so we don't have to use drinking water to clean utensils and plates, use paper plates instead. We have about a ton of water stored in quart sized bottles. These aren't for drinking, they're for washing or bathing. However, water can be made drinkable by adding 2 drops of bleach into a quart of 💧 water. Water is also eady to stock up on by buying one extra case each time you grocery shop. I mentioned most of the items we store in the last video, but I may have forgotten 2 battery powered radios, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Those are good items to have in your bug out bag too. Anything we can do to protect the integrity of our bodies during an emergency is important. One last thing; make sure you have extras of whatever important medication you take like blood pressure meds, etc. in your emergency kit. Try to save at least one months worth and keep it in the kit. Great info Belle, thanks for reminding folks to BE READY!❤

good job Something to look into is what I call: Chem Sticks, otherwise known as Snap Lights or Glow Sticks. Walmart and BAss Pro Shop and Amazon sells them. Chemical lights. Just crack and shake them and you have light. You can get different colors (green, red, blue, yellow and white) and different ones run for different lengths of time. I prefer the green and white ones that run for 12 hours. I keep the white and the red ones in my cars for emergency lighting as well. Oh, and you are right about the Head Lamp too !

Excellent! Preppers call this a "bug out bag." This is a very much needed reminder during these days of hurricanes and storms. Very extensive, the only things I'd add is a jar of Vaseline, mylar blanket, and some large baby wipes. I'm curious where you got the crank radio and solar charger from? I bought a solar charger from Amazon once but I had to return it because it didn't work.

Hi Belle! My busband was prepping before we got married 6 years ago. Then when the pandemic came, it was over!!😂😂😂 We have enough food and paper products for an army plus a large bin full of supplies i.e. first aid supplies, soap, matches, batteries, rope, lanterns, duct tape, can opener, deodorant, shower gel, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, cough medicine, Tylenol, Motrin, candles, (but those are only if the lanterns don't work for some reason,) sanitizing wipes, baby wipes, freeze dried paper towels, long lighters, plastic sheeting, twine, large metal hooks, Vaseline, scissors, laundry detergent, etc.etc. There's a lot more, but these are what I remember off the top of my head. We even have tiny bottles of liquor to trade with or use for emergency first aid. We live in Michigan and I'm keeping some of my too large sweaters for emergencies also. I normally donate all of them, but now is the time to just keep some for a change. It's fun to me to gather this stuff to save for emergency purposes. I like to think I'm ready, but there is always more I can add.❤

@@Bellesplace50sThanks Belle! During the pandemic I started watching other preppers here on KZbin. They gave great advice on supplies to have in addition to staple food items. I continue to purchase items when I shop. One needn't buy everything all at once. This can be done little by little over time. A lot of things, like those long lighters, can be purchased in expensively at Dollar Tree. All I say to anyone starting to prepare, is start NOW!
