I purchased a Heinonen guitar recently after researching several others. Already the owner of several Martins and Taylors, which are really fine guitars, I have found that Drew Heinonen’s guitars are at a whole different level. The depth, richness, and sparkle of the sound of his guitars are unmatched in any acoustic instruments I’ve ever played. This, coupled with butter-playable action and the astonishing beauty of his craftsmanship, I agree with his mentors. Get one of Heinonen’s guitars while you can still afford them. I’m confident Drew Heinonen is one of the next top of the top luthiers for artists and players who love the highest quality and sound in hand made instruments.

I started making custom purses years ago and got out of it a few years ago and thinking of getting back into it again. Being a 6 foot disabled Marine I've had alot of customer's buy from me because It was made by a man and I custom made purses with materials sent to me and repaired handbags etc.. but got overwhelmed because some people want Walmart prices and don't understand the labor involved in producing an item especially when it was onevof a kind unique. That's every craftsman, unfortunately, so don't feel like you're alone. Folks don't tend their garden, I say, and think about the long-term ramifications of the things they support with their votes. I try to point this out where I can, and you'd be amazed at how angry people can get about it even as they rush off to walmart to buy something made in Chicom Territory for a pittance. They don't want to admit that they've helped run small businesses out of their towns or make the area so wholly uncompetitive that it's literally cheaper to produce something on the other side of the world than it is right down the street.

Steve, it sounds like you are Norwegian?? I remember when my mother used to talk about the "road to Chisolm when she was a girl growing up in Buhl!! My grandfather immigrated to the U.S. from Norway!! He ended up working in the Buhl iron ore mine!!!

Love this idea. I been dreaming of sowing custom clothing and items for a few decades. Love to learn and do some custom clothing for myself for ruff stuff long term wear in BushCraft.
