Hi, I hope you can answer me, im planning to sell my auto and get a manual. Im in a conflict, many people are saying getting stuck in traffic will make me regret getting a manual. Do you get tired in traffic jams with the manual? Whats your opinion on this?
@thisisKB8721 күн бұрын
@@Gary-zm8me unless you live in like NY bumper to bumper traffic, rowing through gears makes me forget about that. The only times I complain is when there’s like accident or something and it’s bumper to bumper but eventually you learn to just leave enough space to coast through most of it so you aren’t shifting so much. I daily this through Houston and take it to downtown every day for work. I’m usually in heavy traffic and I still love it.

Hey man. I know my gr86 comes with summer tires but would it still be okay to drive this week?
@thisisKB8729 күн бұрын
Honestly if you are able to avoid it, don't. They are rated for 45f - 40 MAX. But if you really have to, drive slow till the tires warm up. Unless we hit consistent 20s, you should be okay. I'm running Extreme Contact's and will be taking my car in to work. The rule of thumb is if the tire is exposed to hard 20s then you gotta leave it alone and gradually let them heat back to 40s+. Considering our lowest is 30s with 40s in the day, we should be okay. Just don't rip it everywhere lol Thursday where it's supposed to rain w/ a max of 40 is where I may call in.

you cant cruise in this car man. The cabin.noise and stiff suspension doesnt make it a therapy drive. Plus the rtv and enginr blowing issue 24/7 at back of your mind. I ha e a 2024 gr86 premium got it brand new. Planning to sell it off after a year.
@thisisKB87Ай бұрын
Perhaps you can't but I can. Yea it can suck with shitty backroads like these but everything else makes up for it. I've taken this car on multiple road trips even with the coil overs on (which make it even stiffer lol) and I still love this car. Also rtv is blown way out of proportion. Take care of your car and you'll be fine. Definitely not a set it and forget type of car.

I am thinking about buying a GR86 before I move down to FL. I will be living in an apartment and thinking about using this method. Do you think that this method is effective for this car based on the oil pan positioning? I read that oil extractors are better for certain cars where oil drain pain is not the lowest point of the oil pan. Since you did get excess oil after pulling out the drain plug, I assume that it is at the lowest point.
@thisisKB876 ай бұрын
I say it's a nice alternative for those in situations like yours that will struggle with space. With about .3 of old oil, you should be good assuming you are doing about ~3k mile changes.
