See my other comment responses. I was using directx 9 from dxvk with the version number of whatever was newest 5 months ago, in April 2024. Hope that helps. I believe it was still working with a newer version as recent as July, but I haven’t checked it in a few months if they broke compatibility again.

@Molotov2112 2.4 gives me black screen, 1.7 and 1.6 x32 gives best fps but will skip. While the x64 has 40fps with sound cracks. The dxvk from tdu world works the best but the issue I get is it will randomly freeze or crash.

@@NatsumeKonnoI checked and I used 2.3.1. Hope that helps. Most likely it’s the settings or something about the install of your game being the problem if that version doesn’t work for you.

I’m running it on Windows 10. All my videos for over a year have been on Windows 10. Look for videos of SteamOS if you prefer games running on that operating system.

To be fair to the game, Steam Deck is not the best way to play it. Also, the many particles messes with the bitrate for recording, so it’s less blurry on the real thing. But I agree that having to lower all the settings and run on a low resolution makes the game look ugly overall.

It’s free! This GitHub page is the main page for it, it gets daily updates. For stable releases, follow the link in it where it says Releases. I play daily Snapshots of the game and it has the most fixes and features, find it on the page where it says it links to snapshots. Available for Windows, Linux, Mac OS, and Android. Also, this mode is called Adventure. You can start it up by going to the main game and selecting the tab for Adventure and then the Start button. Or do like I do and start Adventure directly from the forge-adventure.exe file.

Many campaigns are still not translated if you are looking for text outside menus to be translated, so you will have to wait for hopefully more updates to the mod in the future. Did you mean that menu graphics are still Japanese? Because that would require more troubleshooting.

@@Molotov2112 hi, I don't know if this will make sense since I have little experience, I was talking about the dialogues when doing the campaigns and looking at the menu options such as to produce mobile suits, development, move units, or just the names of the characters that it's still Japanese text, Even though I downloaded the patch. Sorry I should've elaborated more specifically before.

I play on Epic Launcher with Steam Controller set to regular controller and a mouse touchpad. All of this is on Windows 10.

Also, the stretched sprites can’t be adjusted and sometimes you can do multiple actions if you queue up button presses quickly. Just some more things I hope the devs fix.

So I recommend playing the tutorial on the official Magic game called Magic the Gathering Arena. It also has the most robust multiplayer and is the fastest to update. XMage is an excellent fan-made version with support for nearly all cards ever made. Also Wagic is pretty good and has that same level of compatibility. After doing all of this tedious work to get this old Duel of the Planeswalkers game to be modded, I can’t recommend it over any of these other options. It’s so limited and I fear people will be as frustrated as I was. XMage has full tournament and drafting support, too, which has more options than the official Arena. No one beats the Arena tutorial, though. Hope that helps. I may still make a tutorial for weird people like me that do game tinkering.

Respectfully disagree. Combat is what I crave and Redout doesn’t have it. Although Redout 2 is one of the best is the genre ever for high speed racing.

Pretty poorly, struggled to stay at 30 fps and dipped to 10 fps on turning toward city segments. If you mean how did I get it to run, I just tried logging in late at night when the servers had fewer players to overload it.

So I have it installed in Steam and am using default Steam input with no problems. Something to note: if you use a touchpad or the touchscreen sometimes it might switch to keyboard temporarily until you push buttons. Try messing with the steam controller input to change it to not have mouse controls on anything if you want to fix it.

This demo has some serious problems with performance and giving every error code imaginable. I’ve gotten lots of errors and then somehow eventually it still worked Day 1. Now I can’t seem to get into it either. I guess we can hope they fix compatibility by launch.

I’m on Windows 10 on my Steam Deck.

I would try reinstalling and potentially re-creating the .dll files again for compatibility. I had a problem and didn’t tie it to updates but that was probably it. Make sure the correct .dll/drivers for old games are being used instead of running directly on the updated new AMD drivers.

@@Molotov2112 hey just asking,i play the 6.5 version of Gihren Greed ppsspp mobile version, But it seems the texture just translate the UI,Location and Pilot names, The dialogue and Faction Intro is not Translated at all, but when i play on PC on the same version it has..you know what wrong?

So the current version has them occupy, yes. There have been updates since this video was made.

Yes, the game has a setting for increasing speed and this is max speed.

This is running on Windows 10 Steam Deck, not SteamOS. The game is also out on Switch, which I hear means it could potentially run with emulators on SteamOS.

Sadly the studio was closed by Sony, so it would take Sony to hire a new company to port WipEout games.

Only the first WipEout game has particularly 'floaty' handling. After that the handling was toned down to cater to a wider audience.

So to clarify, I reinstalled today and the AMD drivers aren’t compatible so dxvk’s DirectX 9 file on SteamOS or dgVoodoo2’s MS/x86/d3d9.dll file are needed.
