Why throw those leg locks on so hard when you are demonstrating? What a dick move. Your training partner shouldn’t be grabbing at his knee after each demo and having to slap several times. Needless injuries.

Riley I hope you read this but then again who knows. Your leg work from videos has helped my kids so much. It cut through all the Jedi secret mind tricks these new guys from b-team to danner seem silly. You have put the actual core movements into those videos. You sir are an amazing teacher and it’s too bad that more folks do not know about you. Thank you.

Wish more Sambo Gyms could pop up in the US with Legit Sambo Masters as Coaches. We need more Sambo and Less BJJ. Modern Day BJJ is so watered down to just Berimbolos and Heel Hooks, you’ll get your head caved in if you aren’t careful in a Real Life Altercation if you try a Berimbolo in a street fight. Let’s flip up side down, go side to side 35 times in a row, just to take someone’s back.... That’s Current Day JiuJitsu 101 for ya, LOL! Sambo is where it’s at, for sport or self defense. If Sambo was easy, it would be called JiuJitsu!!

10 years later.. influenced by Dean Lister, Mikey Musumeci rediscovers this technique, and now calls it "The Mikey Lock": kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYPalmqLodiLmrs

I'm told this move is illegal in most tournaments, why would it be illegal?
@asdkjfhaklhzvkl2 жыл бұрын
It's generally dangerous because you're throwing your entire bodyweight which creates a lot of force. If you mess it up you can seriously damage your opponent's legs. E.g. this video from judo: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZ3aiqiop9mbmcU

A flying cartwheel is a perfect antidote to that. Pretend like those legs were double swords when you're fighting enemies in the 18th century! You would have no choice but to train that way to fight such a maneuver! I see those leg scissors as no different than swords about to slash my body and legs, simultaneously!
