sounds like a KHao Or amulet if metal or ivory,, and has very tangled yantra, then would be from ajarn jek or ajarn parn , ac chum, or other master of wat khao or. But one would hale to see. Many hands is Pra Pid Tawarn (closing all orifices) which means complete absorption into 4th Jhana meditation, and extinguishing suffering (Like Yant Pra Putta Jao Khao Nirote)

Excellent and high quality video and Channel by AJ Spencer doing introductions of amulets in English language! The channel itself is also a rare find! I sincerely hope AJ Spencer can continue producing such videos introducing amulets! The effort and research and translations and editing must have been tedious! Thanks AJ Spencer! 🙏🙏🙏
@AjarnSpencer2 жыл бұрын
Thank You! Yes it is very tiring and detailed, but at least i do not take notes, just speak spontaneously from my own knowledge, and use pictures from my own amulets or books to help explain, so not having to translate someone else's writing makes it easier to do a narrative. Best to know what you are talking about. than taking notes based on what someone else is talking about

What is the difference between the old against the new somdej amulet ??? its just the age ...although they have the same power...
@AjarnSpencer4 жыл бұрын
i would say your belief is reasonable logic. But considering how many monks fake powers these days, and how strict and closer to the Buddha's practice things were in olden days, i believe there is a higher chance of higher power in an older amulet my friend, because these days we have monks like LP Nen Kam (youtube search it), Pra Kasem who kicked a Buddha statue went mad and made Thailand furious, and Kroo Ba Subin who had to disrobe and flee to Singapore to avoid theft of temple funds tax evasion and sexual charges.... in the old days monks mostly practiced and attained the powers of the ascended masters. Booya!
@AjarnSpencer4 жыл бұрын
In addition to my previous reply; if good monk with power bless amulet today, same power and purity as one 500 years ago, then yes, same power. but more chance of power with older ones due to charlatans in the present time now that it is business not just giveaways
@AjarnSpencer4 жыл бұрын
Jurgenz. y20 i was rethinking a but, and i think to answer your question in the same context you meant it, i would say that the main difference in the case of Pra Somdej, is the adherence and faith so many people have in the monk Somdej Dto. And so they seek one which came from him, but many people indeed collect every single edition of Wat Rakang somdejs every year upt to the present day and will continue to do so

Hi there, is there a falling in love chanting for someone that's far away you. Just wanted them to think about you and dream about you. You miss them badly and you want them to feel the same way you do. And hopefully you will see each other again, because they want to see you as well... Just wanted to be loved and protected. Thank you! I have tried Kata...
@AmuletsTv4 жыл бұрын
the Buddha said that reciting the dhamma is one of 6 ways to enlighten (chanting it). But later, chanting became a thing that does not only chant Dhamma. such chants are considered to be occult, not Buddhist
@AjarnSpencer4 жыл бұрын
Chanting stills the heart. if the desired prayer comes true or not, at least, during the chanting, some peace and stillness and end of suffering occurs. chanting is good.

And by the way when I'm talking about one kind of amulet don't ask me questions that are off topic. This video is about pra somdej. Not kata chants for love. It's called trolling when you do that abuse a video to ask a question that is not related to the video. Please don't do that anymore, because it ruins the comments section and people's studies

"doesn't look authentic?" based on what knowledge base and method of examination ? ....Oh i forgot... you cant answer can you?, because you are a nincompoop who assumes. This amulet does cost a bomb with the right seller, if he is famous and has millionaire customers , but in the hands of a farmer who knows only people on 200$ a month, he might sell it for 200$. If you know nothing (and you do not), then dont comment with such idiocies as they truly make me suffer
@AmuletsTv4 жыл бұрын
why should a real one cost you a bomb? I just bought one from some kid who found it in his dead grandpa's closet for 10$ because only 1% of Thai people know real from not. You are of wrong view in this matter. Someone finds a red bead on the floor and shows you, and you know its a Thai Ruby with a canopy cut and about 4 karats with few flaws, and deep red color worth 300,000$, you wouldnt say it isnt real because the guy who showed it thought it was a glass bead would you? Bargains are under your eyes all the time if knowledge is sufficient

Yes, which is why i like to collect and curate rare amulets that are lesser known by rich collectors, and which do not have to cost much, but have an equal 'Puttakun' Buddha Power, as many amulets that cost 30 times more.

How to clean the lacquer?
@AjarnSpencer4 жыл бұрын
use water, and a very soft and one slightly stiffer painting brush, as such old amulets and a very soft toothbrush. some people use nail varnish remover, which can destroy the amulet. others use benzalkonium chloride and water, or rust removal tinctures such as silver cleaner or the like, and toothbrush. I do not recommend the cleaning of such expensive priceless treasures though, as you could end up with a worthless mess in your hand unless you have enough experience to clean the amulet with care and expertise.It can take many repeated sessions to remove enough lacquer to achieve the desired result. A contact lens ultrasonic cleaner is also a useful tool for cleaning amulets

cannot tell with photos unless proper macro closeups in hd. most true evaluators will not authenticate an amulet from a photo, rather, must have it in the hand, as there are other things to take into consideration than the visual aspects only. There are also scientific methods we use

Is it true that this run of amulets 2515 does not say wat lahanrai on the back but has the temple's previous name and is one of the ways to identify a real one (along with powders and pim design and "skin" etc)? Thanks for another video. I see I click. Metta from Thailand.

The 2515 be PIm Yai say Wat Laharn Rai. ALL Pim Lek of any edition say 'War Rai Waree' which leaves a question doesnt it.
Great video. Thank you. It is great to get such information in English . Western amulet collectors and fan should consider themselves fortunate to have access to this.

It is an endurance test to edit these videos and narrate them, but it is also a pleasure to present as many amulets as possible in this manner, to break people out of the couple of dozen famous favorites, and let people develop a wider pantheon of choice, with knowledge, instead of with ignorance (ignorance meaning 'unaware of the facts', and does not mean to intend meaning 'stupid'. Ignorant means 'unaware of')
@AjarnSpencer5 жыл бұрын
And thank you for appreciation. This one took a lot of concentration and fiddling with graphics and video editing and narrative timeline synchronisation, and it is rewarding to know someone appreciates it.

I hope to increase the number of videos made in these series. they take a whole night to make, but its worth it. In the end i can also find and stock these items so it also benefits me personally on a worldly level to present amulets i wish to distribute, but which i fear people do not know so well. The Buddha said that even when your best friend knocks on your door, he isn't just there for no reason. This does not mean however, that the friend is not happy to have a reason to have to come and see you (whereas otherwise life's busy problems prevent us from visiting often)... it simply means, i am happy to create this content for the benefit of the student and aficionado, but i also find my ways to benefit from my efforts and rentabilitise them, for it is money that makes this hard old world turn around, and that's what we all need to feed our families.
@emptyemptiness83725 жыл бұрын
@@AmuletsTv I really appreciate all the hard work you put into the videos. In fact I watch as soon as I get the notification as long as I am awake. Living in a small village in nth east Thailand with a great interest in amulet and dharma just know your videos bring great joy as well as knowledge. Metta from the Mekong. @AjarnSpencer5 жыл бұрын
@@emptyemptiness8372 That's great to hear. im trying my best to learn to make ever better quality content. so many amulets to present to people. The study of amulets has no end to it. As to Dharma; I find from my own experience at least, that once one has taken up Interest in Dharma, it is always an ironic experience. Ironic, because we develop the interest whilst still 'caught up in the ways of the world', whereas the path of dharma carries us out of the world, and returning to it by rebirth. But in the end, there comes a point in understanding of the dharma, which makes one leave the world. You're already halfway out of 'the world' being in a small village. But what i mean is, that development of insight into dharma brings dispassion with the things which carry most humans astray, and eventually leads us onto a path which leaves 'the world' behind. The irony lies in the fact that when any of us (me included) attain interest in Dhamma (dharma), we usually develop the interest based on self interest. But once we tread the path for a while, the self interest becomes an enemy to destroy instead of a friend to nurture, and our reason for interest in Dhamma changes from one that is base and self-interested, to become one that is more auspicious, illuminated with understanding, and pure in its intention. There lies the irony in being attracted to Dhamma
