This is a historic moment for Icelandair If flown on 8 sectors with the airline. One 767, one 737 (just prior to Max grounding) and the rest has been the beloved 757, such a great aircraft for the carrier. The A321 will now serve them well

In the current aviation environment, and in my (humble) opinion, Icelandair's decision to adopt Airbus over Boeing is timely and superbly wise. Once Boeing genuinely shows (over at least 15 years) that safety overweighs the shareholders I will modify this opinion. Until then, I look forward to visiting my beloved native country, Iceland, in an Icelandair A321XLR.

I can't forget my first full thrust brake release takeoff..It was so epic and scary at the same time..the rushing wind in the cabin and the jolt when the brakes get released is memorable

Yes, our Jodels are all flyable and now, also the DR 1050M1 TF-ROS, but my co owner was working at this beautiful day... some one has to work here......
