David said in Psalm 37:23, 24, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. Though he falls he will not be destroyed. For the Lord will be there to pick him up.” This is saying that even though God is directing our steps, there will be times that we fall, times that we make mistakes, we go the wrong way.May 18, 2018

LOL. According to Christ and His minions yes they all believed He was some sort of messenger. Of course this is absolutely false seeing how there is no proof of God. It is my belief that Christ was most likely a drunkard and full of Himself.

Marriage is not a sacrament, but is sacramental. To suggest the Roman Catholics got it right is to suggest the COF got it wrong. To declare "they" got it right and 'we" got it wrong is opening up pandora's box. When God created Adam , he said, Very good. Getting married does not make the male or female "incomplete". The individual is not complete in Christ, an incomplete image of God? God forbid. That unborn baby is not an incomplete image of God until "it" declares itself male or female and enters into a relatoinship with another human? The question of who is a candidate for marriage cannot be avoided. Avoiding the issue and going into arranged marriage involves massive cultural differences. It is more than just an arranged shotgun marriage.

At the 16:30 mark of the video, the redeeming value in declining church attendance was discussed. To me, in addressing declining church attendance, compromising or going against the Bible should never be an option. Several mainline denominations including the United Methodist Church, whom you mentioned at the beginning of the video, have strayed away from the Bible and sound doctrine biblically and theologically. Yes, a church must think outside of the box and, at times, be creative in increasing church attendance but not at the expense of straying away from the Bible, and sound doctrine biblically and theologically.
@encounterstudy Жыл бұрын
That is a tough question; we never want the church to decline. Yet, the biblical pattern of God's people seems to be growth, plateau, decline, and revival. It seems to be the shock of decline that leads to the revival

About 5 years ago a Sunday school lesson hit me hard and I felt the command to observe Sabbath. And the change that has caused in my life has turned me upside down in the best way. I was so busy doing Christian activities that I left no time to commune with God, and God said that’s enough of that child sit down or I will sit you down. FYI I did not sit down. I tried every way and everything to not just sit quietly with God. Praise God, I failed. Am I an awesome power house working hard for the kingdom of God now? Nope. I’m just over here learning how to be still and let God do God things on God time. I’m just over here reading and studying and listening to God and what he has been saying to his people for eons. I’m just learning to walk with God and realize that that is enough. It was enough in the very beginning and it is still enough today. Changed and continues to change my whole life.

Excellent clarification on perfection aka maturity Chris, especially glad that mercy and grace are part of maturity. I see that mercy and grace in the fruits of the spirit also.... which is why self righteousness highlights someone’s immaturity in their walk.
