I’ve been taking off in airplanes since the 1960’s. I can’t get enough of it. I have 4 flights in August on my favorite airplane. I cannot wait!

Nice views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, MSG, Central Park, the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, and last but certainly not least JFK!!!!(and i think I saw Ellis Island also??)

Wow. You saw about 1/2 of New York City. New Jersey, The Hudson, The Bronx, Central Park, The East River into the mouth of The Sound, LaGuardia and an unusual view of JFK. Awesome. Too bad you weren’t more South when you flew across to capture the midtown and downtown skyline.

Yeah. And this was a view higher over Manhattan than most descents over NYC. And a high view of JKF which they'd soon be a much lower height over, before flying south over water a bit before making a wide u-turn. And then descending back over land over Jones Beach, and then Belmore, East Meadow, Eisenhower golf course, and then making a left over Westbury and Northern State Pkwy, and then left again over Hillside Ave., Garden City Park, and then making the final descent over Stewart Manor, Beth David Cemetery, Southern State Pkwy, Belt Pkwy and Rosedale station, and then a short height over a few Rosedale neighborhoods full of residents dealing with constant aircraft noise, and then touchdown onto JFK's southeast runway

I recently flew in and out of LaGuardia for the first time. I absolutely love it. It was my first time in New York City. I have already made plans for another NYC trip.

Had the privilege of visiting NY City from the UK last year. These views are amazing and a reminder of the wonderful places we visited e.g. Central Park, Downtown Manhattan etc. Thanks for sharing this footage ☺

0:07 I love those takeoffs from Runway number 13 I'm a fairly clear day as this you really get to see the layout of New York City. You pretty much see so much of the boroughs of New York City and the bodies of water that surround each borough. East River the Harlem River the Hudson River and ultimately the Atlantic Ocean off in the distance you stopped just short of getting the verrazano-narrows bridge included as well as the borough of Staten Island. But you did get such a great view of the rest of the city

Remember a similar view leaving NYC for Helsinki. All the rivers and bridges. All the container ships coming over from Europe or the far east
