Great video clip! Thank you. I was born in No. 5 Mealor's Cottages up Mealor's Weint in 1952. Lived in Parkgate until 1961, when my family immigrated to Australia. My late dad was Roy Mealor, a shrimper on the Dee my parents had a shrimp business at Hill View on the Prom (potted shrimps , etc sold on the front step). I can remember having a magic childhood in Parkgate - wandering on the Dee marsh, catching sticklebacks in the brook along the back path (the brook is now gone to housing unfortunately), playing in the fields and along the railway line at the back of Parkgate, and riding my bike to Neston whenever. No worries for kids then, or at least, no-one knew of any in those days. I have been back twice - in 19991, and 2005. Hope to go back for another visit one day - Parkgate and the River Dee will be forever in my blood. I live in Bundaberg, Queensland Australia. I have played your drone video over and over today - is so well done - captures the magic of Parkgate so well. Takes me back. Can remember flying a box kite on the Dee one day, and it took off and was a tiny dot in the sky, at the end of my string. What a great feeling that was. I imagined at the time attaching a camera to it, but was only a kid, and had no way to do that, or even find a way to press the shutter once it was air-bound. But now, your drone has done that for me. Thank you so much, has made my day. I assume that the name Bushell is the same name for Bushell's Road in Neston? I went to Bushell Road School when I moved on from Parkgate Infant School. Bushell Road School was a temporary school set up in a church or church hall I think. can remember that well too.
