I’m Heading Up To Harbor Springs This Weekend How Can Filter The Aircraft To Just The Ones Flying Into KMGN

Incredible avionics given its time. Those are smalll CRT displays, not LCDs, and the computer could swap data between different displays in case one failed.

Saw that aircraft today, absolute beauty

Surprised to see the cabin look a bit cramped for 6 passengers. Awesome plane.

I was driving past that airport a number of years ago and had the pleasure of watching one that was brought in for a prospective buyer. Very exciting.

Man I remember when we had a big enough crowd to be this loud for the starting lineup.

I don't remember American ever operating any MD-88s.

What a beautiful plane. I hurts me that this concept never caught on. It had the best chance coming from Beechcraft which builds immaculate aircraft.
@B.Launders2 жыл бұрын
You don’t see those very often. Nice catch!

American plane made in USA. It was licensed or sold to the Phillipines to make in Philippines but I think they improved it and added a two piece canopy. This is one made in USA.

Dad flew one of these as a naval aviation student back in about 1960 or 61 for primary flight instruction. He talked about doing a solo night flight when all the electronics went out. When he started, 3 out of the 14 made had crashed. Was not in the service long. Underpowered and short duration. Hence the "Super" Pinto was born. But... kind of cool looking.

N107SL now sits dilapidated at the KRVS airport in Tulsa, OK. I worked for the company that owns it, it's being slowly stripped for parts. In its current state, it is no longer airworthy and never will be again. It's quite sad to see it when it was in its prime.

As a former pilot I would have LOVED to have flown this beauty. All of the airflow turbulence produced by the props is BEHIND the frame and how many prop jobs can reverse? Wow!
@johnpooky842 жыл бұрын
"How many prop jobs can reverse?" Pretty sure all turboprops, which the Starship is, can reverse.
@briantaylor95944 жыл бұрын
I’ve got a great picture of a Piaggio I was flying sitting next to that very airplane at Harbor Springs. Love the reverse into the parking spot!
@rogerwhittle20784 жыл бұрын
Did I just see that aeroplane back in to a parking slot? I am sure it isn't all that rare, but the only other aeroplane I have seen 'backing up', was an RAF 'Fat Albert' - C-130.
