Decent day for reds. I was out there on Sunday (much further south) when the wind was blowing ENE at 20+ and dealing with really low water thanks to the full moon. I was dragging bottom in places I normally float across without much fuss. It was tough, got just 1 trout and 1 snook. Started seeing some reds right before lunch once I got out of the wind but was too frustrated by then and headed home.

Once you get the hang of navigating those extreme low tides, it’s a game-changer-you start finding holes stacked with fish or small pockets of depth holding them. Still, it’s no walk in the park with wind and no water!” Thanks for watching...

Sweet video dude! That's the spot I usually launch from but I head east and fish along the creek for snook and reds and then out to the shoals for some trout. Like you mention in the video it's usually pretty choppy on the outside. Hope I see you out there soon. Merry Christmas to you and your family from Michele and I.

Great Video Eloy. Was down the last two weeks, couldn't even get close to the harbor post Milton. I'll be back mid November, I'll be in touch to schedule a day with you. Stuff is starting to open up, now we just have the red tide issues to deal with. Tight Lines!!

Nice job on the slam. Moonwalker = Super Spook. Skinny Lipper = any number of shallow slash baits. Its rare to encounter a truly "new" lure design these days, its just variations with tweaks. That said sometimes a small tweak can make the difference. Honestly I've yet to find a lure that doesn't work... just depends on the conditions and locations. So it really comes down to confidence - if you believe it works then you'll keep trying it and you'll eventually catch something!

Great video. I’m still tryna get a hold on good kayak launches in fishy spots. Been going out of Matlacha park - is that where you launched here? Is fishing the gulf side of the island any better?

Another great video! When I was a salt strong member I used to love the moon walker. That’s actually the bait that made me start switching all my lures to in-line hooks. I only used the skinny lipper a little bit so not too sure about that one. Looks like they did a good job. There were some pros and cons to the membership and eventually I decided to cancel. The soft plastics I used and most hard baits i used weren’t on their website.
@jonathanfortune5660Ай бұрын
What were the cons of the membership?
@Onemorecast941Ай бұрын
@ mainly I didn’t get discounts on most of the baits I personally used. Also there were some flaws in my opinion in the smart fishing spots app. It was great for seeing the oyster beds and stuff but it wasn’t accurate on the hot spots. It just wasn’t for me. I know people that love it though so I think it’s more personal preference
@jupiterkayakfishingАй бұрын
That is awesome!, this was the first time I’ve tried their gear. I’ve played around with the app, not convinced it’s any good, but I will be buying more of these products, thanks for watching, see you soon.

When don’t want ladyfish you get one every cast. And yes the dolphins are very annoying. I’ve had put trout and reds in the live well to save them from becoming flipper food. If you get a fish they will never leave… too smart and looking for that easy meal by letting you do all the work for them.

I was a little worried when I was deciding to go with the AutoPilot or a regular 120 and install a Motorguide Xi3. I'm glad I went with the Motorguide Xi3 setup because I use it mostly on the mighty Columbia River here in the pacific northwest and the current is no joke especially on the upper part of the river. The Motorguide Xi3 have no problem with it at all. Autopilot 45lb motor and the Motorguid Xi3 55lbs thrust.
