OMG is this a blast from my IT past! I was 28y a Network Engineer ( I didn't have anything but a high school diploma). This particular time, the company was refocusing on new products & all the VP's had to give a session to a group of employees about the changes. I am one of these "do it right the first time, every time" people, which, prior to my arrival, was a foreign concept. So I was on first name & co-worker like joking type basis with all VPs & the President of the company loved me & declared no one was permitted to touch anything electronic in his office or the executive area except me. So, during this time, I was literally untouchable (which drove my ID10T boss crazy). Anyway, I had to set up the VP's sessions with the projectors etc & stay in the room in case something happened. So at the end of each session I would ask the VP if they cared if I play this exact clip for everyone. Well, of course they could care less because they weren't staying after they were done anyway. So I played this 8 times over 2 days. The brain trust employees thought it was a new product we were selling. 🤦‍♂️ so I had to explain what Linspire was. I was trying to help spread awareness that there are alternatives to Windows that are just as, if not easier to use. I miss those days so much, to believe it was 20 years ago.

Christ. I remember this like it was yesterday. First time I saw it, I downloaded it over 56k dial-up. Using Linux back then was so exciting, though the software and driver support was a nightmare.
