How many patent numbers are on the side of the barrel on that 6A? The patent numbers can be used to help determine when it was made. For example, rifles with an RE prefix patent are post war. I have a model 6 with a single patent, a 6A with two patent numbers (no RE patent), along with an 87T, 187J, wards western field 87A and a few others.

That is true. Mine has four patent numbers, none with RE prefix. With its carved checkering walnut stock, drilled and tapped holes for a scope mount, Utica, N.Y. location of manufacture and no serial number it can be dated to pre-WW-II, probably about 1939. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on KZbin.

@@mickmacstabletopreviews8466 patent 2271576 wasn't granted until 1942. With four patent numbers, 1939 wouldn't be possible.

What if I go with the 11/15 lb. combo like you did BUT I want to shoot standard velocity ammo. Is it still going to fire the rounds reliably..????
@mickmacstabletopreviews8466

Shouldn't be a problem. I typically shoot standard velocity rounds and that's what I used in my range tests for this video. Overall, very effective. At 75 feet I can't tell much of a difference in accuracy with or without my suppressor, but I suppose that would depend on the suppressor, that it was installed properly, that it was clean and that it was well maintained. I bought a used one back in the 1980s for my middle brother. It had and old 3x9 with a wire reticle, but that rifle was a tack driver. It really liked the 180gr round nose Winchester/Sears loads. I shot an entire box of them into a 1.5 inch group at 100 yards, in one sitting. He never got to hunt with it as he died in a motorcycle crash, and my younger brother "gifted" it to a friend afterward.

Ill will add that this is a push feed bolt, unlike the control round feed of the classic model 70. Although, the model 70 was made in Both styles CRF and push feed. Still very nice.. Alaska fish and game still recommends 3006 for a general purpose game rifle. It has done it all.

Yes, so the instructions suggest and as has been pointed out by others. But there are those of us that prefer to let the solution continue to work for as long as there is a reaction. That appears dependent upon the quality and composition of the metal you're trying to blue. Have the Rg 26 and some of the Jennings and ravens, have some since the 70s and early 80s, they are still 💯 excellent and pretty accurate, but some people have these,dry fire and keep them loaded with 1 in the tube, and the firing pin locked back, this causing weak springs and sear to be stressed and cause problems, the weakest part is the firing pin and sear , and the springs and the slide lock, but I have kept extra parts for them but have not had to use them yet, Davis, raven and Jennings have the same similarities, the rg semi auto have a 2 piece firing pin but similar to the other ones 🤔 Also want to add to my comment , have carried Jennings j-22 and 380 and raven 25 acp and charter arms 38 special undercover Stratford Conn made one back in the 80s when I was in law enforcement for back up pistol, carried some in ankle holster and pocket carry and some in spare handcuff case and extra magazines and speed loaders and speed strips, still carry some for pocket carry and ankle holster with my Glock 33 gen3 or one of my other options

Sure, no problem. I covered that in this video. If you didn't watch the whole video you may have missed it. Go to 13:53 in this video for field strip disassembly and to 14:24 for reassembly. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other "Mick Mac" Tabletop Review videos on KZbin.

Other than being difficult to shoot accurately due to heavy trigger pull and the short barrel, mine shoots trouble free. Cleans easily and needs some paint on the front sight as this gun has. 10 to 15 feet should be best bet to hit target and even at that distance you’re making Swiss cheese. It’s a pocket pistol. It’s economical. Hopefully if you have one it shoots without jamming. Nice honest video.
