Hey man the best way is you put the spike between your 2 fingers and it can't get you . Makes it more difficult

Should be using barbless hooks, don't have to man handle the fish to release them. Much better chance of survival.

I would agree however these trout are quite hardy. I have been out with countless guides in the area who never use barbless. I do use barbless in the mountain streams for those trout and agree they increase survival chance.

As long as the gloves are wet the trout should not be harmed. However trout are so fragile I wanted to be as cautious as possible.

Based on the reaction of the guy in the video and from the data from the top annalists at nasa, harvard, fbi, and the aliens under my bed we have come to a stalemate on whether or not it was a fish. try asking easier questions next time
