1% of fund but $33 a month, so is it really worth it?
@outseta9 ай бұрын
It's pretty easy to do the math, no? If you're processing just $330 per month in payments at 10% that's $33 right there. At any scale you will save thousands + you get CRM, help desk, and email tools that you'll inevitably need if running a serious community.

How would they setup and their password? And how to setup login with webflow native form?
@outseta Жыл бұрын
This is shown in the video-there's a "Send confirmation email" toggle when setting up the Zap to create the account and subscription in Outseta. This automatically sends an email to the user after sign up that validates their email address and prompts them to set a password. You can't use a native Webflow for login, but you can style Outseta's embeds with CSS to match your design. If you need help with that, just reach out to our team.

I have a study centre where students physically come for long hours study, we provide sitting arrangements (2 types) and related facilities for them so that they can do their self-study for 10-12 hrs. For that they pay us an initial registration fees and make us a recurring monthly or quarterly payments called Renewal fees to continue study for that period. I want to integrate their data into the system so that i can track the number of active students and those whose renewals has already been expired or to be expired soon. It should also help me in calculating revenue earned for a specified period. Also, it shall help students to easily track their renewal expiry date and fees paid.

It keeps data in sync between Outseta and CMS items in Webflow. Update some data in Outseta, and it automatically updates the CMS item data in Webflow. This is the most common use case: go.outseta.com/support/kb/articles/VdQG30Q4/how-to-automatically-create-account-specific-pages

Earlier today I was actually analyzing why I did not like this notion of defining an MVP as a solution to a "problem", because the customer does not always have a defined problem they are solving. I was vaguely playing around with concepts of vision, and how a pragmatic solution to a problem does not necessarily present a vision ahead. How Steve Jobs did not actually solve any problems that people had with the iPhone. He presented a vision that defined possibilities. This beautiful concept of a starving market and a product market appetite does encapsulate another way of envisioning a whole new way of seeing the world for the customer. Thank you for crystalize this notion. Much appreciated.

Awesome! Agreed with your comments and so happy to hear this idea resonates with you.

@@outseta I am in the process of exploring a MVP and a product market fit. I am still in illusion of the honey moon phase, but the feeling of finding a product market appetite is like being on a ship that has a strong tailwind, and the watercurrent in the same way. The compass is changing all the time, but the tailwind keeps changing to your direction as well.

Hi great wideo! I have question about the security of user specyfic pages. You made user specyfic page where the URL ends with slug - which is combination of random numbers and letters. I am curious if being loged in as James Lavine, and you edit URL by passing there a slug of any other user let`s say Philipp Buchert will you get access to his dashboard without loging by his credencials?
@jameslavine Жыл бұрын
Nope, you're only able to access your own account-specific page, even if you know the URL of others that exist.
@piotrkauza4519 Жыл бұрын
@@jameslavine Thanks for the response. I tested it by myself. You are able to access another user page knowing the URL after you switch off JavaScript in the browser what is in agreement with information provided on the Outseta site "Account-specyfic pages are protected with JavaScript on the user divice....". I was not able to see any embedded elements (unfortunately this was the only element of the page) but still I was able to access page. After switching on the JavaScript in the browser I was properly redirected to "access-denied" page. More concerning was fact that after I inspected page that I accessed unauthorized I was able to retrieve link to embeded element. I very like the feature of account-specific pages and I hope some day this feature will yield higher level of security :)

Is that ethical? Aren't we tricking potential customers here?
@outseta Жыл бұрын
Good question-a couple of thoughts here. First, you can redirect the user to a page immediately afterwards that thanks them for signing up and appropriately sets the expectation that you're building the product and won't actually be charging them. It can be a nice opportunity to let them now that you'll actually give them a discounted rate for being early adopter of the product too. In most cases if you simply explain what's happening and why you're doing what you're doing, I think most people will be understanding-I have a hard time calling it unethical, as you're not actually taking any payment from them. All of that said, I agree with the sentiment that there's a little bit of trickery at play here. This is not a tactic that we've chosen to use as a company ourselves, but it is one that's extremely common in the start-up world. I think the common sentiment is it's better to do some pre-sales to validate your idea rather than wasting months of years building a product only to find out no one wants it.
@reticu_late Жыл бұрын
@@outseta Yeah unethical is a bit harsh! I like the idea but personally would not be comfortable doing it - when I'm considering a SaaS I struggle to dig out the card (if there's no trial, for example) though I did this week for "Scrintal" - and the rewards (personal onboarding etc) made up for it so I agree - some kind of page outlining intentions and benefits would be great. I'm just in the process of turning my "in real life" coaching services into a course-based /remote offering hence looking at Outseta. Thanks for the reply. Stay safe. David
