There are some things I prefer from the original over the Complete Saga, say what you want about the prequels but I really liked the Dexter Jexter 1950's diner.

Ah this feels good to watch growing up with the Original Trilogy on PS2. When I played the complete saga years later I wondered why it felt like a worse experience. Pardon if you held it dearly but for me the OT is just the better game and this video proves it.

You forgot the biggest one. The titles change between "Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga" and "Lego Star Wars: The Videogame", the first being "Lego Star Wars: The Videogame" and the second one being "Lego Star Wars:(like the first one) The Complete Saga (chnaged from "The Videogame" on the first one)"

I honestly think it's sweet that Nintendo had Leslie Swan voice Peach again in this game (with the added alternate voice lines), even though they had another voice actress typically used for Peach by that point - it adds to the charm of the remake imo

the edeting with the weird music is really off, and does not fit in my opinion. You should also work on your voice tonality as you sound bored and unattached. But i see potential! Keep going, you‘ll surely get better!

Other Differences: - In Lego Star Wars 1, the music used for the Episode III levels was from the Original Trilogy, due to the Episode III soundtrack not being available during development. The Episode III music was added in The Complete Saga, but the Story cutscenes retain the Original Trilogy music. - In Battle Over Coruscant in LSW1, Player 1 plays as the red Jedi Starfighter (Obi-Wan's), whilst Player 1 instead used the yellow Jedi Starfighter (Anakin's) in TCS. - In the final cutscene of the Darth Vader level in LSW1, Anakin has a red lightsaber. This was changed to blue in TCS. - In the opening cutscene of Rescue the Princess, the turbolaser cannon looks different in the shot when the Millennium Falcon is pulled into Bay 327. - In the ending cutscene of Death Star Escape, Luke's reaction to Obi-Wan's death is different. In LSW2, his face indicates he is screaming, while he has a normal expression in TCS. - In Escape From Echo Base, there's the room where you have to slide down the slope and activate buttons on the floor to open the door to the next room. When all the buttons are pressed in TCS, a clip of the door opening is shown, which was not in LSW2. - In the opening cutscene of Betrayal Over Bespin, Han is wearing his Hoth outfit in LSW2 when he is frozen in carbonite. This was corrected in TCS, as he now wears his Skiff outfit. - In LSW2, Boushh Leia wears her helmet by default when outside of the Jabba's Palace Story mode. This is no longer the case in TCS. - Wicket and the other Ewoks can grapple like blaster characters in LSW2, something which is no longer true in TCS. - Super Story completion awards the player a Gold Brick in LSW2. This is not the case in TCS, but it still counts towards completion percentage. Also, the text indicating completion of Super Story is slightly different between LSW2 and TCS. Using Return of the Jedi as an example, in LSW2, it says: "Episode VI: Return of the Jedi - Super Story Complete." In TCS, it instead says: "Return of the Jedi - Super Story Complete.

Fun fact: (at least on the wii version I think) In lair of grievous in free play if you pick up grievous’ lightsaber as a jedi and then switch to cad bane he’ll just stand remain still while holding a bomb and his moving animations stop

I am a huge fan of the show. Here is what I noticed. Please note I am not trying to be mean or criticize you at all. This is just what I noticed. In Jedi Crash you are correct they are only in one gunship, but they do crash into the ship not land. Anakin was out of commission so that cutscene did not happen, but they were not in space when they left but still in the planets atmosphere in the show. They were hit, the pilot hit his head into the hyperdrive and the cruiser had to get out of the way before they could get into hyperspace. In the game they just undocked. In Defenders of Peace the show never really shows how they got off planet. It just shows the cruisers coming into orbit In Weapons Factory the show shows Anakin and Luminara under the bridge putting charges underneath the bridge. The bridge is still intact in the game. By the time the station blows up the bridge is gone with the tanks. In the game the building breaks the bridge not the charges. In Blue Shadow Virus the base from the droid was found out by C-3PO and Jar Jar. When the droid woke up it was unable to see, C-3PO talked to it and got him to say that there was a base on Naboo, at the time they didn’t know there was a base on the planet. The Droid would not tell the location because it was secret. Jar Jar was chasing a bug and got his tongue stuck in an astromech head and crashed into the racks offlining the droid. It is when Jar Jar mentioned the bug and the mud on the droid coming from a specific place is when they found the base. C-3PO was not even in the cutscene or even shown in this level. I may have missed some things as well. But this is what I noticed.

Few things I noticed that weren't brought up: 1) The lighting in levels overall are much brighter in TCS, whereas a lot of the original had dimly lit rooms 2) in the original, A New Hope is an unlockable bonus level where you play as Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper in story mode, whereas in TCS it uses the level from the 2nd game and you play from Leia's prospective. 3) When transitioning between hardware, the poly count on characters, objects, and all other visual set pieces is higher. 4) "Building" did not exist in the original, only force users could put together objects 5) There are no red bricks in the original

It’s weird to me that they barely adapt most of the stories from the show in their respective level. Like, just look at the Wikipedia or Wookieepedia synopsis if you can’t be bothered to watch the show.

Please don't be si negative. I'm sure the level designers did watch the show. The changes shown in this video are mostly done for comedic or gameplay purposes. Creativity doesn't equal ignorance.

Also - some of the vehicles you can summon on the Battlefield never appeared in the show, such as the Homing Spider Droid or the AT-DP. The Droid Gunship, which brings the droid's vehicles, also didn't appear until the Onderon Arc, much later into the show.

10:30 Funny how you build the classic figure, and the classic R2 is also pictured on the droid panels, but when you're finished it's his TCW figure.

1:17 What's weird is that the Clone Pilot is actually a playable character in the level, so there really is no reason not to have him in this cutscene.

It’s not that laggy when you play it on actual hardware. It seemed it was played on an emulator, due to a cursor being seen sometime in the video.

1:35 Minor correction, the separated Story Mode and Free Play stud meters *are* indeed present in another game, and funnily enough it’s The Complete Saga for Nintendo DS! Other than that that I noticed, great video! Some of the weird quirks between these two versions surprised me, honestly.
@Mallory1616 күн бұрын
On the NES, the majority of enemies change palette colors in underground and castle levels (and underwater levels too technically, but that's only seen in the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2/Lost Levels). In All-Stars, only the Goombas change palette depending on location, while other enemies do not. This also applies to the Bullet Bills in the original 6-3, though that level's palette was totally overhauled for All-Stars, anyway. In All-Stars, you get a time bonus for finishing a castle level. On the NES, there is no time bonus for castle levels. In the NES, if you get hit as big Mario, while invincible, you can touch an enemy (except firebars for some reason), and the enemy won't kill you as long as you keep touching it. This doesn't work in All-Stars. In All-Stars, if you beat 8-4 as big Mario or fire Mario, you'll start 1-1 with that power-up. On the NES, you always start 1-1 as small Mario. The invisible underwater Piranha Plant in 8-4 on the NES is visible in All-Stars.
