@@KevSmithMusic Oh for sure, you gotta do it your own way. Not try and imitate Mike. The best cover versions are when the artist does put a bit of themselves into the performance, whether intentional or just because they can't match the voice of the original artist. No point trying to do the exact same as Mike unless you're trying to be one of those many impersonators. For example, I love both the original Nine Inch Nails and Johnny Cash versions of 'Hurt' for being beautiful in their own different ways and even the meaning of the song feeling different being applied to their very different lives too. even though the words were written by Trent about his experiences, you can hear in Johnny's voice when he sings them how he relates to the words his own way. You can have a favourite but both versions are superb and equally valid. :) Maybe I'm just babbling. I dunno. Either way, yeah great cover. :) When I got time I'mma check out some more of your stuff.
