The Vatican map is a work of art. Open world games need to take note. The side quests are interesting and not just silly fetch quest. They develop the characters and story. The pluzze also stand out.

Understood the concept of playing the long game when watching my dad, about 25 years ago, beating a mission with just one mage. - pours a cup of tea - sits down - drops a blizzard on a tower - sips tea as mana regenerates - repeat until the base is no more. I am 30 now and I realize that my dad was some cold blooded individual.

I have a bone to pick with you. First off, thanks for the guide, very helpful. Second, my gawd the rapier is a TERRIBLE weapon. It is TRULY terrible. I spend so much time getting stun locked because this F**KING trash weapon misses most of the time ( since its impossible to lock in this game since every room has a dozen enemies). I cant F**KING wait to get my uchigatana, a REAL weapon that isnt a COMPLETE STEAMING PILE

Good video! It definitely has that old Disney Platformer look about it, especially Aladdin and the Lion King. Shame it didn't get the polish it needed.... Also I never realized the cast of Gargoyles were also from Star Trek. That's crazy! I grew up watching the show!

So... it has the exact same problems the original had: Overanimating, not understanding the source material (perhaps because they had no access to Season 1), insta-kills, poor hit detection, and getting comboed to death. The remastered art seems to have replaced the out-of-place CG animation for some of the robots, though. Did they at least fix that music bug before fighting Demona as the final boss, where it forgot to turn off the level track and played that and the boss theme at the same time? Did they even remaster the flat Genesis music? Honestly, I'm not surprised it went south the moment they thought the game needed to be remastered, instead of making a new game, preferably a beat-em-up with the main four as playable characters and doing stuff they did in the show, like actually deal with Xanatos.

Me and my roommate at the time played nothing but this for about 3 weeks.

QoL improvements for 1 and 2 but they didn't do enough and there are things they've removed or stripped down from the OG. Animated scoreboard, campaign map, animated guy eating chicken etc during mission briefings. Little things like that where you notice and then shake your head at the cut corner. Multiplayer is also utterly stripped down of features.... This should've been an easy buy for me but alas, I went sailing on the high seas.

If you can get the falcon sword This early in the game you're a ninja there is no way you're getting past eight of those fucking skeletons when you're not even level 10 yet it takes six hits to kill one of them they're on top of you in two

The game is so fun to traverse, one of my fav of all time. Yea dialogue ugh but the story is pretty sick. It's exactly what I want in a video game. So so fun!!!

In Order of Ecclesia, I farm really difficult stuff by rewinding and hitting with different timing. Its easy to prove this because now and then the enemy will drop coins or not depending on the seconds and RNG or whatever. I just got 3 gold ores in Minerva Prison Island from rewinding, it still sucked and took forever, but it would have been 20 times worse if I had to leave the screen and fight demons and tinman over again each time.

Beat the game and the expansion to honor my Dad who used to play this and passed away in 2016. I used to love watching him play but the missions were too brutal for me to beat as a kid. But I finally did it.

Now you gotta review the rest of the series! Even Postal 3…😅

I wouldn't really call the missing Extended Edition content a con. EE only got one DLC expansion with Rise of the Dragon, and it was so bad that the new Immortal Pillars DLC they announced is basically going to be a Chinese expansion redone from the ground up.
