Not so far, however there is a large vent hood and ventilation pipe used to remove the steam and heat from the beer kettles, so this may be what is keeping the moisture issues down. If you are living in an area that experiences below zero weather, then be sure and install an HRV or ERV system

Cement has to cure ...wich means you need to add water for a time depending on the thickness...otherwise it cracks through and in the initial stages you need to cut a Grove again depending on the thickness to allow heat expansion....but I guess you wanted this as a filler....
@gregwhiteside7045
@gregwhiteside7045 Жыл бұрын
Yes the aerated cement berming is just a filler to create the terracing and wider slope for the earth and vegetation. The instant buttress forms that the cement is poured into creates segmentation. The instant buttress form material becomes the expansion joint that compresses and expands as required. The aerated cement (when dry) also hardens into a dead load on the sides and takes the weight of the soil and soil moisture weight when it rains and moves that weight down to the ground without adding weight on the structure shell itself. Lastly, with the foam used in the aerated cement it acts as a tremendous insulation material with all of the fine bubbles trapped inside the cement.

The structure, insulation value of the aircrete and earth layer along with the evaporative cooling effect during the day from the vegetation reduces the temperature difference the hvac needs to work to. The interior walls stay 55-70f even in the hottest part of the day

@gregwhiteside7045
@gregwhiteside7045 Жыл бұрын
The outside is sprayed with closed cell spray foam (which is made from 14% recycled water bottles) This spray foam layer is one of the waterproofing layers and another insulation layer, it can be applied to whatever thickness is required for the temperatures of the location it is built at. R27 in Kentucky or up to R60 in Alaska. Because the spray foam is applied on the outside it doesn’t change or alter the interior space or cost of materials to build with to have a thicker insulation layer, It just adds the cost of the closed cell spray foam material. The spray foam is applied and then protected under the HDPE sheeting layer. The HDPE protects the foam from additional water saturation over time and from plant root intrusion or damage

Surely the soil on the roof should follow the rood profile? not have multiple low spots due to settling? The roof needs to be top dressed to profile so that it drains correctly.
@gregwhiteside7045
@gregwhiteside7045 Жыл бұрын
Plant changes in growth height are what appears as low spots, or soil slumping. Drainage is working correctly, roof soils and vegetation have settled and become fully established over 18 months and 2 tropical rainy seasons.

My wife and I are saddened to hear about what has happened with a rogue builder in Australia who has acted in a terrible (criminal) way to his customers. We are all independent builders and not paid or employed by the parent company in any way. Green Magic Homes makes the shells on order as we send them the payments, after that it is up to us to build and complete the structures to the customers needs and satisfaction. Sharon and I completed the brewery last year for our customers and are happily building our own home in Panama right now. I will post an update video showing our work completed for our valuable clients.

Nice video. Great work man. Question:. What is better, 1 big system like 10tonner bio digester or 10 smaller system of 1 tonner container? Appreciate you very well thought of response. Thank you! GBU! Farm produces 15 tonner chicken dung.
@gregwhiteside7045
@gregwhiteside7045 Жыл бұрын
Maximum you can feed a biodigester is 1/30 of the biodigester volume per day. Feeding more does not produce more gas and will not process the waste enough to get the gas and fertilizer quality. Also you will need other food waste and animal dung to feed. Chicken dung is too acidic and high in alkaline and could stop the digester from working if you only feed it chicken dung.
@apinhmi
@apinhmi Жыл бұрын
@@gregwhiteside7045 copy thanks for the info. Yes I'm aware of it. I will have to get the dung daily instead of one bulk loading. Not just kitchen waste but farm waste but all will be shredded. Like rice hay, leaves dried and fresh.
@gregwhiteside7045
@gregwhiteside7045 Жыл бұрын
Try not to put in dried leaves or wood, they will float inside the digester and could cause blockages and they do not digest well. Manures, food waste and green plants or green leaves can be ground or cut up and placed inside to digest

Thank you for an informative video. I am designing a parabolic arched barrel vault home that I would like to include a green roof. Would you know what the green roof thickness range on Green Magic Homes might be ? Does the company provide engineering data with psf load analysis ? In my case, the first prototype will be built at elevation with 120-psf snow loading, verified by the work of a professional structural engineer, so I think a modest thickness green roof deck area will be feasible. Best of luck finishing your build and would love to view videos of the remaining process.

Hi Mark Yes, GreenMagic Homes has done all of the live and dead load engineering testing as well as wind sheer, hurricane and tornado testing and destruction testing to get International Construction Compliance Certification. It’s not just about material thickness, but many other factors such as elasticity, arch maximum widths, exterior structural components and material grain directions etc. GMH has patented this technology and I do have the info or authorization to share. I am from Canada so I know snow load, freezing rain and ice accumulation weights can be enormous, so make sure your architect and engineer take all of this into account with your materials and project.
