I would dress alt more often, but i dont have the time or the money for it, so it's an occasional thing for me. I mostly just wear black leggins with black oversized hoodies lol

honestly, a lot of it is DIY. yeah, it’s freaking expensive. But take for example, just a pair of normal black shorts, add some safety pins and lightweight chains to it, it’s alt, be creative, it’s not all about just buying it, it’s your experience with it too!

The curse is real. I grew up goth/industrial and lived it as an adult too, but now my kids are in their late teens and 20s but neither wear alt/goth... so sad.

personally i love pastel colors and fairycore, but my mom says that dark colors look better on me since my skin is so light! she still buys me the clothes i want, but she also tends to buy me things *she* thinks will look good on me sooo yeah i love how alt is so accepting and, even though there are gatekeepers, this community is still so open! (also, is fairycore considered alt?)

i feel as if fairycore wouldn’t generally be considered alt, or at least what people would think of when they think of the term, but it IS an alternative (aka not mainstream) style, so it’d fall under the term.

Imma be honest, my clothing style changes everyday, but the clothing style I dress like the most is what my friends consider Alt, but to me, my style is all over and I just say "it's whatever I want it to be" With that said, you don't have to have a specific style to define yourself with, dress how you want, whether it changes day to day, thats okay!! Make sure to drink some water and stay healthy, love you!!! ❤❤
